Tarai East Forest Division, Haldwani, is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the post of Working Plan Associate on a contractual basis. Eligibility:

Candidates must satisfy the following requirements to be eligible for this position:

Educational Qualification:

  • M.Sc. in Botany, Zoology, Forestry, Wildlife, or Soil Sciences from a recognized university with a minimum of First Division (at least 60% marks).

Desirable Knowledge and Work Experience:

  • Proficiency in MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint, and other relevant computer applications.
  • Experience in forestry research, especially in species identification, and measuring forest inventory parameters.
  • Knowledge of GIS, GPS devices, and Geospatial Technologies.
  • Physical fitness to undertake extensive travel and trekking in mountainous and plain regions.
  • Publication of research articles in recognized journals will be considered an advantage.
  • Candidates with previous experience in forestry, wildlife research, or biodiversity surveys will be given priority.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum Age: 35 years as on 01.01.2025.
  • Relaxation in age will be provided for SC/ST/OBC/Women candidates as per the rules of the Uttarakhand State Government.

Salary:

  • Monthly Consolidated Emolument: Rs. 25,000/- per month (fixed).
  • The salary may be revised as per the norms set by the Government of Uttarakhand.
  • In addition to the fixed salary, the selected candidates will also receive travelling allowance as per Government norms.
