AIIMS Mangalagiri is inviting eligible candidates to attend a walk-in interview for the recruitment of NMHS Survey Field Data Collectors for the National Mental Health Survey in India Phase 2 (NMHS Phase-2). This project is funded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, and coordinated by NIMHANS, Bangalore. The project will focus on mental health data collection across the state of Andhra Pradesh, and selected candidates will be part of this large-scale research effort.
This is a contractual position with a fixed duration of six months, with the possibility of extension based on the performance of the selected candidates. Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Rural Development, or any related field.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience in working on state-level projects or programs.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with various organizations at the state/national level.
- Fluency in the local language(s) and dialects of Andhra Pradesh.
- Prior experience in administering health-related field-based data collection.
Age Limit:
- General Category: 40 years
- SC/ST/OBC Category: 45 years (age limit relaxable as per Government of India rules).
Salary:
- Consolidated Salary: ₹45,000 per month
- Local travel expenses will be reimbursed separately.
Duration:
- The initial appointment is for 6 months, with the possibility of extension depending on performance and project requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Field-based Data Collection: Visiting survey sites across Andhra Pradesh to collect data on mental health conditions.
- Monitoring and Supervising: Overseeing survey activities and ensuring data accuracy.
- Coordination with Local Coordinators: Liaising with local coordinators to ensure smooth conduct of the survey.
- Administering Psychiatric Instruments: Using psychiatric survey tools to collect information from participants.
- Travel: Extensive travel across the state is required as the survey will cover various regions.
Selection Process
- Walk-in Interview: The primary mode of selection will be the walk-in interview, where candidates will be evaluated based on their qualifications, experience, and performance.
- Written Test (If Necessary): If the number of applicants is large, a written test may be conducted to shortlist candidates before the interview.
- No TA/DA: Candidates will have to bear their own travel and accommodation expenses. No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided for attending the interview.
