The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Government of India, is inviting applications for the appointment of five (05) Junior Accountant-cum-Storekeeper (JASK) posts in the Storage and Research Division. These positions are to be filled on a deputation (including short-term contract) basis against available vacancies from eligible officials currently serving in various Central/State Government departments and allied organizations. The role falls under the Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Ministerial category and presents a valuable opportunity for individuals with a commerce background and relevant experience in accounts or storekeeping. Selected candidates will be posted in various field offices under the Storage and Research Division, with the possibility of being assigned anywhere in India. The deputation will initially be for a term of three years, with the possibility of extension as per prevailing regulations.

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Candidates applying on deputation (including short-term contract) should not exceed 56 years of age as on the last date for submitting the application.
Service Requirement
Officials belonging to the Central Government/State Governments/Union Territories/Public Sector Undertakings/Statutory or Semi-Government Organizations/Universities/Autonomous Bodies are eligible provided they meet the following conditions:
- Holding analogous post on regular basis, OR
- Applicants must possess five years of continuous service in positions under Level-4 of the Pay Matrix (₹25,500 – ₹81,100) or in an equivalent post within their parent cadre or department.
- Possessing a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualification
- Two years’ experience in cash management, accounting, or storekeeping in Government Offices, Banks, or Public Sector Undertakings is desirable.
Salary Details
- The position is classified under Level-5 of the Pay Matrix according to the 7th CPC.
- Selected candidates can either continue receiving their current grade pay along with the deputation (duty) allowance or have their pay adjusted according to the time scale of the position The guidelines established by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
Selection Process
- The selection will be carried out based on deputation, which may include short-term contract arrangements.
- Only candidates who apply through the proper channel and fulfill the eligibility requirements will be considered for the position.
- The application must be accompanied by the vigilance clearance, integrity certificate, details of any major or minor penalties imposed, and duly attested copies of the APARs for the past five years.
- Applications not supported with the required documents or those received after the deadline will be summarily rejected.
