UPPSC Unani Lecturer & Professor Recruitment 2025: Notification Out

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released a recruitment notification for Lecturer and Professor positions in Uttar Pradesh State Unani Colleges. Application Fees

Candidates must complete a three-stage online application process, which includes fee payment. The category-wise application fee is as follows:

Age Limit & Relaxation

• For Lecturers (Group B – Gazetted): 25 to 40 years (Age relaxation as per rules for reserved category candidates.)
• For Professors (Group A – Gazetted): 30 to 50 years (Age relaxation as per rules.)

Age Relaxation (As per Government Rules)

• SC/ST/OBC candidates: As per Uttar Pradesh government norms.
• Ex-Servicemen, Women, and other special categories: Age relaxation as per recruitment rules.

Vacancy Details

UPPSC is recruiting for the following Unani Lecturer and Professor positions:

Lecturer (Group B – Gazetted)

• Pay Scale: Level-10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500)

Professor (Group A – Gazetted)

• Pay Scale: Level-12 (₹78,800 – ₹2,09,200)

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

For Lecturer (Group B – Gazetted)

• Essential Qualification:
  • Five-year degree in Unani Medicine from a recognized university or Board of Indian Medicine, Uttar Pradesh.
  • Postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject.
  • Adequate knowledge of Hindi, English, and either Urdu, Arabic, or Persian.
• Preferred Qualification:
  • Research work and publication of original papers and books.
  • Candidates who have:
    • Served in the Territorial Army for at least two years.
    • Obtained a ‘B’ certificate from the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

For Professor (Group A – Gazetted)

• Essential Qualification:
  • Five-year degree in Unani Medicine from a recognized institution.
  • Postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject.
  • Ten years of teaching experience, including three years as a Reader in a recognized institution. (For postgraduate candidates, eight years of teaching experience is required.)
  • Working knowledge of Hindi, English, and either Urdu, Arabic, or Persian.
• Preferred Qualification:
  • Research work and publication of books and original papers.
  • Military/NCC Preference:
    • Territorial Army service for two years.
    • ‘B’ certificate from NCC.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on:

1. Written Examination (if required, depending on the number of applicants)
2. Interview (for shortlisted candidates based on qualifications and experience)
3. Document Verification (Candidates must submit original documents at the time of verification)
