Salary & Pay Structure

• On Deputation Basis: Parent pay plus Deputation Allowance
• On Absorption Basis: Rs. 1,50,000 – Rs. 3,00,000 (IDA Pay Scale)

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess:

• B.Tech in Civil Engineering or an equivalent degree from a Government-recognized university or institute.

Eligibility Criteria

On Deputation Basis:

• Must be working at least for two years in the SAG (Senior Administrative Grade) or equivalent in the following pay scales:
  • IDA Pay Scale: Rs. 1,20,000 – Rs. 2,80,000
  • CDA Pay Scale: Rs. 1,44,200 – Rs. 2,18,200 (Level-14, 7th CPC)

On Absorption Basis:

• Must have a minimum of 20 years of executive-level experience in government/PSUs/Metro projects.
• Candidates from private sectors with prior relevant experience in executive roles will also be considered, provided they furnish valid proof of service.

Work Experience Requirements

• Minimum five years’ experience in planning, tendering, construction, and execution of large infrastructure/metro/railway projects.
• Proven experience in underground metro construction including tunnels.
• Must be familiar with all phases of metro project implementation — from planning and bidding to execution and commissioning.
• Should possess strong interfacing and coordination skills with departments such as track installation, signaling, electrification, and rolling stock.

Desirable Experience

• Knowledge and experience in handling projects funded by international financial institutions.
• Experience in complying with international project standards.
• Ability to coordinate with safety and certification authorities, including CMRS (Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety).
• A strong grasp of safety, quality control, land acquisition, rehabilitation, and utility shifting for large metro projects.

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of metro projects, which includes:

• Planning, scheduling, monitoring, and quality assurance.
• Managing designs, tenders, track work, and overall project execution.
• Handling statutory approvals, safety clearances, and interface coordination.
• Ensuring cost control, timely execution, and compliance with safety norms.
• Overseeing land acquisition and rehabilitation related to project execution.

Tenure and Probation

• Tenure (Deputation): 3 years (extendable)
• Probation (Absorption): 1 year
• Surety Bond: Rs. 3,00,000 for three years’ service commitment (for absorption candidates only)

Additional Requirements

• The candidate must be physically and medically fit.
• Must be free from any Disciplinary or Vigilance action (DAR/Vigilance clearance is mandatory).
• A character and antecedent check will be conducted prior to appointment.
