United India Insurance Apprenticeship Recruitment 2025–26: Apply for 153 Graduate Apprentice Posts

United India Insurance Company Limited has released an official announcement inviting applications from eligible Indian citizens for engagement as Apprentices for the year 2025–26 under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act, 1973. This apprenticeship program offers an excellent opportunity for fresh Engineering and Non-Engineering graduates to gain practical work experience in one of India’s leading public sector insurance companies. The apprenticeship is for a period of one year and is purely a training engagement, aimed at enhancing employability and professional exposure of young graduates. Candidates who completed their graduation between July 2021 and 2025 and meet the prescribed eligibility criteria can apply online through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal.

The company reserves the right to allot the selected candidates to any district within the chosen state, based on administrative requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must carefully ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions before applying, as applications found ineligible at any stage will be rejected.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have completed Undergraduate Degree (Regular / Full-Time) in any discipline.
  • The degree must be obtained from a recognized university or institution approved by AICTE, DOTE, or UGC.
  • Candidates should have passed their graduation between July 2021 and 2025.
  • Graduation should not be earlier than 01 July 2021.
  • Candidates must possess either:
    • Degree Certificate, or
    • Provisional Certificate, or
    • Consolidated Mark Sheet

Candidates whose results are declared in CGPA / GPA / OGPA format must convert the same into percentage by multiplying the CGPA by 10.

Apprenticeship Eligibility Conditions

Candidates must not:

  • Have previously undergone apprenticeship training in United India Insurance Company or any other organization.
  • Be currently undergoing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act.
  • Have completed or be pursuing a Post-Graduate Degree or Integrated Post-Graduate Course.
  • Have one year or more of work experience in any Government, PSU, or Private organization as on 01 December 2025.

Only candidates with a 100% completed profile on the NATS portal are eligible to apply.

Age Limit (as on 01 December 2025)

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 28 years

Candidates must be born between 01 December 1997 and 01 December 2004 (both dates inclusive).

Age Relaxation

Upper age limit relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms for:

  • Scheduled Caste (SC)
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST)
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC – Non-Creamy Layer)
  • Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD)

Reservation Policy

Reservation will be provided as per the Apprentices Act guidelines for:

  • SC
  • ST
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer only)
  • PwBD

OBC candidates must submit a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate, issued between 01 April 2025 and the date of engagement. OBC candidates belonging to the Creamy Layer must apply under the General category.

Training Duration

  • Duration: 1 Year (12 Months)

The apprenticeship will begin only after the execution and approval of the Contract of Apprenticeship on the NATS portal.

Salary Scale / Stipend Details

Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of ₹9,000 during the entire apprenticeship period.

Stipend Break-Up

  • Company Share: ₹4,500 per month
  • Government Share: ₹4,500 per month (credited directly through DBT)

The stipend is paid monthly after adjusting any loss of pay, if applicable. Apprentices are not entitled to any additional allowances or benefits.

Selection Procedure

The selection process is merit-based and conducted by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (Southern Region).

Selection Method

  1. Shortlisting based on percentage of marks obtained in graduation.
  2. Merit list prepared up to two decimal places.
  3. In case of tie, the older candidate (by date of birth) will be ranked higher.
  4. Shortlisted candidates will be informed via registered email ID only.
  5. Final selection will be after physical document verification.

Mere shortlisting or document verification does not guarantee selection.

Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates must appear in person with original documents and self-attested copies, including:

  • Degree / Provisional Certificate
  • Consolidated Mark Sheet
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Bank Passbook (candidate’s name)
  • Passport-size photograph

Failure to produce documents will result in cancellation of candidature.

Leave and Working Conditions

Working Hours

  • Apprentices will undergo On-the-Job Training (OJT) as per company working hours.

Leave Entitlement

  • Casual Leave: 1 day for every 30 days, maximum 12 days per year
  • Sick Leave: 4 days per quarter (with medical certificate)

No other leave is applicable. Unused leave will lapse after completion or termination.

Travel, Boarding, and Lodging

  • TA/DA: Not admissible
  • Boarding/Lodging: Not provided

Candidates must make their own arrangements.

Nature of Apprenticeship

  • Apprentices are not employees of United India Insurance Company.
  • Apprenticeship does not guarantee employment.
  • No claim for permanent absorption is allowed after completion.
  • PF, ESI, Bonus, and other labor benefits are not applicable.

Termination of Apprenticeship

The apprenticeship contract may be terminated if:

  • Candidate provides false information
  • Eligibility criteria are not met
  • Unauthorized absence exceeds 3 consecutive working days
  • Misconduct or indiscipline is observed
