Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL), a government-owned utility under the Government of Tripura, invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the contractual position of Manager (IT). TSECL is tasked with the generation, transmission, and distribution of power across the state and is continuously enhancing its infrastructure through the implementation of sophisticated IT systems. This recruitment process is geared towards bringing aboard skilled IT personnel who will be key to executing and maintaining the Corporation’s increasing digital infrastructure, including ERP applications, smart metering, and consumer service systems.

The appointment will be purely on a contractual basis for a period of 11 (eleven) months, extendable on mutual consent, and will be governed by terms set by TSECL. Candidates selected for this role will be posted anywhere within the operational jurisdiction of the Corporation in Tripura.

Application Fees

Candidates applying for the post must pay a non-refundable recruitment fee through a Demand Draft drawn from any Nationalized Bank in favor of Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited, payable at Agartala, as per the following details:

• SC/ST Candidates of Tripura: ₹400/- (Rupees Four Hundred only)

Vacancy

The total number of vacancies for the post of Manager (IT) is 630, with the following category-wise distribution:

• Unreserved (UR): 250 posts
• Scheduled Tribe (ST): 250 posts
• Scheduled Caste (SC): 130 post

The Corporation reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or not fill any of them based on administrative exigencies.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

• Candidates must possess a First Class Master’s Degree in any of the following disciplines:
  • Computer Science
  • Computer Applications
  • Information Technology
  • Electronics

Experience:

• A minimum of five (05) years of experience in a reputed organization or industry, preferably related to the Power Sector.

Technical Skills & Competencies:

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Strong understanding of IT systems, TCP/IP protocols, LAN/WAN configuration
• Proficiency in SAP/ERP and Oracle systems
• Expertise in software and hardware troubleshooting
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and coordination capabilities

Language Proficiency:

• Working knowledge of Bengali or Kokborok is desirable.

Domicile Requirement:

• Applicants must be permanent residents of Tripura and are required to submit a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRTC) issued by the state.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit is 40 years as of the closing date for application submission, which is 22nd May 2025.
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST/PH Candidates: 5 years
  • All categories are granted an extra 2-year age relaxation in accordance with Memorandum No. F.23(11)-GA(P&T)/2022 dated 11th July 2022.

Salary

Selected candidates will be offered a guaranteed monthly compensation of:

• ₹55,000/- (Rupees Fifty-Five Thousand only) per month.

Selection Process

The recruitment procedure for the Manager (IT) position will consist of the following stages:

1. Screening of Applications:
   • Applications will be evaluated considering the prescribed eligibility conditions, academic qualifications, and relevant work experience.
2. Written Examination:
   • Shortlisted candidates may be required to appear for a written test to evaluate their technical knowledge and IT aptitude.
3. Personal Interview:
   • Candidates who successfully clear the written test will be invited for a personal interview.

The ultimate selection will be based on the overall performance in both the written examination and the interview. The judgment of the Screening Committee and the Appointing Authority will be conclusive and non-negotiable.
