Tezpur University has announced Advertisement No. 08/2025 for the recruitment of 21 non-teaching positions across various departments. Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Internal Audit Officer:
    • Officers serving in the Audit and Accounts Services of the Central or State Government currently holding positions of equivalent rank.
    • OR
      Those with at least 3 years of continuous service in Level-11 or an equivalent position within the Audit and Accounts domain.
    • OR
      Applicants with at least 5 years of continuous service in Level-10 or an equivalent position within the Audit and Accounts sector.
  2. Assistant Registrar:
    • A Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade point average.
  3. Assistant:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
    • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as an Upper Division Clerk or in a comparable role at Level-4 pay scale in any Central or State Government department, recognized university, public sector undertaking, or well-established private firm with an annual revenue of ₹200 Crores or more.
    • Proficiency in typing, computer applications, noting, and drafting.
  4. Laboratory Assistant:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Physics.
    • At least 2 years of hands-on experience operating and managing scientific equipment in laboratories of accredited institutions or established private companies with an annual turnover of ₹200 Crores or above.

Junior Accountant:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • 2 years experience as LDC or equivalent in recognized institutions or reputed private companies with annual turnover of at least ₹200 Crores.
  • Proficiency in typing at a speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi.
  • Proficiency in computer operations.

Upper Division Clerk:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • 2 years experience as LDC or equivalent in recognized institutions or reputed private companies with annual turnover of at least ₹200 Crores.
  • Proficiency in typing at a speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi.
  • Proficiency in computer operations.

Lower Division Clerk:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • Proficiency in typing at a speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi.
  • Proficiency in computer operations.

Multi-Tasking Staff:

  • Matriculation or equivalent qualification from a recognized board, or completion of ITI certification.

Salary Details:

  • Internal Audit Officer: Level-12 (₹78,800)
  • Assistant Registrar: Level-10 (₹56,100)
  • Assistant: Level-6 (₹35,400)
  • Laboratory Assistant: Level-4 (₹25,500)
  • Junior Accountant: Level-4 (₹25,500)
  • Upper Division Clerk: Level-4 (₹25,500)
  • Lower Division Clerk: Level-2 (₹19,900)
  • Multi-Tasking Staff: Level-1 (₹18,000)

Note: Salaries are as per the 7th Central Pay Commission and include other allowances as admissible under Government of India rules.

Selection Process:

  • Group A Posts: May involve Personal Interview.
  • Group B & C Posts: Selection will be based on Written Test and/or Skill Test. In accordance with Tezpur University’s regulations, personal interviews for these positions have been eliminated since January 1, 2016.
