Vacancies

The following departments are offering openings for temporary faculty appointments:

Department of Computer Science and Engineering: 180 positions

  • Department of Chemistry: 200 position
  • Department of Humanities and Social Sciences: 250 positions (100 in English Literature/English Language Teaching (ELT), 150 in Sociology/Economics)

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates for these positions are required to satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

A. Department of Computer Science and Engineering

  • Essential Qualifications:
    • A Ph.D. in the relevant discipline (Computer Science and Engineering) from a recognized university or institution.
    • Achieved first-class (60% marks or CGPA of 6.5/10) in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
  • Desirable Qualifications:
    • Priority will be accorded to candidates who have completed their Ph.D. from institutes with a top NIRF ranking, such as NITs, IITs, or equivalent recognized institutions.

B. Department of Chemistry

  • Essential Qualifications:
    • Doctorate (Ph.D.) in the relevant area of specialization (Chemistry) from an accredited university or institution.
    • A minimum of first-class standing, defined as 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale, in both bachelor’s and master’s level qualifications.

C. Department of Humanities and Social Sciences

  • Essential Qualifications:
    • Ph.D. in the relevant field (English Literature/ELT/Sociology/Economics) from a recognized university or institute.
    • A minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 in both bachelor’s and master’s degree programs is required.

Salary

The selected candidates will be offered a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 80,000/- per month. This salary is for candidates possessing a Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and is applicable for the duration of the academic year August 2025 to May 2026.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected through a walk-in interview. The interview procedure will comprise the following stages:

  1. Verification of Documents: Candidates must bring original documents (such as mark sheets, degree certificates, and other relevant documents) for verification.
  2. Presentation: Candidates will be required to make a 5-10 minute presentation on a topic relevant to the post they have applied for. This presentation will be a key part of the evaluation process.
  3. Interview: Following the presentation, candidates will participate in a personal interview where their qualifications, experience, and suitability for the position will be assessed.
