Supreme Court of India Junior Court Assistant Recruitment 2025: Apply Online for 241 Group B Vacancies

The Supreme Court of India has officially released a recruitment notification inviting online applications for the post of Junior Court Assistant (Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted). A total of 241 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive. Age Limit (as on 13.03.2025)

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 30 years

Age relaxation will be applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/differently abled/Ex-servicemen/freedom fighter categories as per Government rules. Departmental candidates of the Registry of the Supreme Court have no upper age limit.

Salary

Selected candidates will be placed in Level 6 of the Pay Matrix with an initial basic pay of Rs. 35,400/-. Including allowances such as House Rent Allowance (HRA), the gross monthly salary is approximately Rs. 72,040/-.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
• Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute in English on a computer.
• Knowledge of computer operation is essential.

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of multiple stages:

1. Objective Written Test (100 MCQs – 50 English, 25 General Aptitude, 25 General Knowledge) – Duration: 2 hours
2. Computer Knowledge Test (Objective Type – 25 questions)
3. Typing Test in English on Computer – 10 minutes (minimum speed 35 w.p.m., with 3% error allowed)
4. Descriptive Test – Essay, Precis, and Comprehension – Duration: 2 hours
5. Interview

Exam Centres

The examination will be conducted in 128 test centres across 28 States/Union Territories. The exact test centre details will be mentioned on the Admit Card.
