The Supreme Court of India has officially released a recruitment notification inviting online applications for the post of Junior Court Assistant (Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted). A total of 241 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive. Interested and eligible Indian citizens can apply online through the official website of the Supreme Court from 5th February 2025. The last date to submit applications is 13th March 2025.

Age Limit (as on 13.03.2025)

Age relaxation will be applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/differently abled/Ex-servicemen/freedom fighter categories as per Government rules. Departmental candidates of the Registry of the Supreme Court have no upper age limit.

Salary
Selected candidates will be placed in Level 6 of the Pay Matrix with an initial basic pay of Rs. 35,400/-. Including allowances such as House Rent Allowance (HRA), the gross monthly salary is approximately Rs. 72,040/-.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute in English on a computer.
- Knowledge of computer operation is essential.
Selection Process
The selection process will consist of multiple stages:
- Objective Written Test (100 MCQs – 50 English, 25 General Aptitude, 25 General Knowledge) – Duration: 2 hours
- Computer Knowledge Test (Objective Type – 25 questions)
- Typing Test in English on Computer – 10 minutes (minimum speed 35 w.p.m., with 3% error allowed)
- Descriptive Test – Essay, Precis, and Comprehension – Duration: 2 hours
- Interview
Exam Centres
The examination will be conducted in 128 test centres across 28 States/Union Territories. The exact test centre details will be mentioned on the Admit Card.
