SDAU Recruitment 2025: Walk-in Interview for Research Associate and Young Professional Posts

The Bio Science Research Centre (BSRC) of Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University (SDAU), located at Sardarkrushinagar, Banaskantha, Gujarat, has announced a walk-in interview for recruitment to the posts of Research Associate and Young Professional-I. This recruitment is under the New Plan Scheme titled “Strengthening of Centre for Bio Research.” Interested and eligible candidates are invited to attend the walk-in interview on May 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM.

The positions are offered on a purely contractual basis for a duration of 11 months or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier. The university seeks motivated candidates with relevant academic qualifications and experience in plant biotechnology, molecular biology, or related fields.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Research Associate

• Essential Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in the field of Plant Biotechnology, specializing in Molecular Biology and advanced genetic research in plants.
  OR
  • Possesses a Master’s degree (M.Sc. or M.Sc. in Agriculture) with a focus on Plant Biotechnology or Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, along with:
    • A 4/5 year Bachelor’s degree
    • At least 60% marks or equivalent OGPA (overall grade point average)
    • Minimum 2 years of research experience
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience in plant tissue culture
  • Hands-on expertise in molecular marker technology
• Age Limit:
  • Maximum: 40 years for men
  • Maximum: 45 years for women

2. Young Professional-I

• Essential Qualifications:
  • B.Sc. in Biotechnology / Agricultural Biotechnology
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience in conducting experiments
  • Skilled in handling laboratory equipment
• Age Limit:
  • Minimum: 21 years
  • Maximum: 45 years

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted through a walk-in interview only. The process will include:
