PGIMER Recruitment 2025: Apply for Field Worker Post – State TB Cell Project

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh has released an official notification inviting applications for the post of Field Worker for a research project funded by the State TB Cell. The project is titled: “Assessment of understanding, utilization, and post-treatment quality of life among Tuberculosis Patients under Nikshay Poshan Yojana and Nikshay Mitra initiative in Chandigarh, India”. Dr. Kapil Goel, Associate Professor of Epidemiology at PGIMER’s Department of Community Medicine & School of Public Health, will guide this research journey.

The position is purely on a contractual basis for a fixed duration of five months and aims to engage qualified and motivated candidates to support data collection and research execution related to TB patients in Chandigarh.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification

• Graduate degree in Science (B.Sc., Bachelor of Public Health, or other relevant health-related fields).

Desirable Qualifications

We’ll give special consideration to candidates who bring these extra qualifications or experiences:

1. Work Experience:
   • Minimum of one year of experience in field-based data collection.
   • Bring at least one year of hands-on experience in healthcare or public health research to this role.
2. Technical Skills:
   • Tech-savvy with real-world expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
3. Language Skills:
   • Proficiency in Hindi, Punjabi, or other local languages spoken in Chandigarh and surrounding areas.

Age Limit

Age relaxation will not apply as the post is purely project-based and contractual.

Pay Scale

Note: No additional allowances such as TA/DA will be paid. Salary is fixed and consolidated.

Selection Process

Candidates will progress through these stages:

a. Shortlisting

• Applications will be screened based on the essential and desirable qualifications.
• Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email by 16th May 2025.

b. Interview

• Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a physical interview to be held on 19th May 2025 from 11:00 AM onwards.

c. Written Test (if applicable)

• In case of a large number of applications, a written test may be conducted prior to the interview.

d. Document Verification

• Candidates are required to present their original documents at the time of the interview for verification. The final selection will be subject to verification of eligibility and documents.
