PGIMER Chandigarh Recruitment 2025: Senior Administrative Officer Post (Deputation Basis)

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, a premier medical and research institution under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, invites applications from Qualified personnel suitable for appointment as Senior Administrative Officer. The recruitment is to be carried out on a deputation basis, providing a challenging and dynamic administrative role in one of India’s leading healthcare and education institutions. Eligibility Criteria

Service Requirement

Applicants must be officers serving in:

  • Central Government
  • State Government
  • Union Territory Administrations
  • Central Statutory or Autonomous Bodies

They must meet any of the following service conditions:

  1. Holding analogous posts on a regular basis,
    or
  2. Holding posts in Pay Level-10 with at least 5 years of regular service,
    or
  3. Holding posts in Pay Level-07 with at least 9 years of regular service.

Educational Qualification

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or institution is essential.

Experience

  • Mandatory: Experience in administration and establishment matters.
  • Preferable: Experience in accounts and finance-related work.

Desirable Qualification

  • Candidates holding any of the following will be given preference:
    • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
    • Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management

Salary / Pay Scale

  • The position is classified under Pay Level-11 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission’s pay structure. The corresponding pay range is Rs. 67,700 – Rs. 2,08,700.
  • Other allowances shall be applicable as per deputation norms and rules of PGIMER/central government.

Selection Process

  • Selection will be carried out through deputation, based on the eligibility, service record, and experience of the applicant.
  • The notification does not specify any written examination or direct interview as part of the selection process.
  • The selection outcome determined by PGIMER shall be considered conclusive and binding.
  • Applications will be screened based on eligibility, qualifications, and completeness of the application along with supporting documents.

Application Process

Step 1: Prepare the Application

  • Candidates must fill the application in the prescribed proforma.
  • The form must be properly completed, signed, and certified by the parent department or employer.

Step 2: Attach Required Documents

Applicants must enclose attested copies of the following:

  • Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs)/Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs) for the preceding five years
  • A Vigilance Clearance Certificate stating that there are no current or anticipated disciplinary actions.
  • Experience Certificate mentioning detailed job profile, issued by the competent authority
  • Integrity Certificate

Step 3: Forwarding of Application

  • Applications must be forwarded through the proper channel by the Head of Department or the parent organization.
  • The application should reach the Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh on or before the last date.

Advance Copy (If Applicable)

  • If sending through proper channel is not possible before the due date, an advance copy of the application may be submitted with certified APARs for the last five years.
  • However, final consideration will depend on receipt of the application through proper channel.
