Patna High Court Recruitment 2025: 171 Regular Mazdoor Vacancies

Patna High Court has announced the recruitment for 171 Regular Mazdoor (Group-C) positions under Level-1 of the pay matrix, offering a great opportunity for eligible candidates. Eligibility Criteria:

1. Nationality:

  • A candidate must be a citizen of India or meet the specified criteria for Tibetan refugees or Indian origin migrants from certain countries.

2. Character:

  • The character of the candidate must be suitable for appointment to the service. Individuals terminated, dismissed, or convicted for serious offences will be deemed ineligible.

3. Marital Status:

  • Male candidates with more than one wife alive or female candidates who are married to a man already having a wife alive will not be eligible.

4. Physical Fitness:

  • Candidates must be mentally and physically fit, free from any physical defects likely to interfere with official duties. A medical certificate must be produced before joining.

5. Age Limit (as of 1st January 2025):

  • Unreserved & EWS (Male): 37 years
  • Unreserved & EWS (Female): 40 years
  • BC/EBC (Male & Female): 40 years
  • SC/ST (Male & Female): 42 years
  • OH (Locomotor): 47 years
  • Age limit is relaxed for candidates working in Central or Bihar Government departments.

6. Minimum Qualification:

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must be at least 8th grade pass (minimum qualification) and no higher than 12th pass (maximum qualification).
  • Other Requirements: Knowledge of cycling and proficiency in life skills are mandatory.

7. Preferential Qualification:

  • Candidates with a ‘B’ certificate from the National Cadet Corps (NCC) will be given preference during selection.

Reservation:

Vertical Reservation:

  • Scheduled Castes (SC): 16%
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST): 1%
  • Extremely Backward Classes (EBC): 18%
  • Backward Classes (BC): 12%
  • Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 10%

Horizontal Reservation:

  • Women Candidates: 35%
  • Orthopedically Handicapped (OH): 4%

Selection Process:

The selection will be based on multiple stages:

  1. Written Test (OMR-based, Multiple Choice Questions)
  2. Cycling Test (for all candidates, except OH candidates)
  3. Skill Test & Interview

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

  • Preliminary Test: 40% marks (if conducted)
  • Written Test: 40% marks
  • Skill Test: 40% marks
  • Interview: 30% marks

Examination Centre:

Candidates must select the preferred city (up to three cities) for the examination in the online application. The High Court will allocate cities based on availability. Requests for changes in examination centre will not be entertained once submitted.
