The Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar, has invited applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to various teaching positions in the Department of Agribusiness Management. Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee based on the position applied for:

• Professor: Rs. 1500
• Associate Professor: Rs. 1000
• Assistant Professor: Rs. 700

The application fee must be deposited through Green Channel Counter (GCC), Internet Banking, or RTGS in the Comptroller’s Account of OUAT. A signed copy of the payment receipt should be attached with the application form.

Eligibility Criteria

Assistant Professor (Agribusiness Management)

Age Limit:

• Maximum age 35 years as on the last date of damage of operation.
• No age limit for in-service candidates of OUAT.
• Retirement age: 60 years.

Educational Qualifications:

• A second class Bachelor’s Degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks or equivalent OGPA.
• A second class Master’s Degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks or equivalent OGPA.
• Eligibility requires a cleared NET exam in your field of expertise.
• At least one publication in a journal rated by NAAS.

NET Exemption Criteria:

• Candidates with a Ph.D. degree (with coursework as per UGC 2009 Regulations) are exempt from NET.
• Must have at least two full- length NAAS- rated publications( standing not lower than 4).
• Candidates registered for Ph.D. before 11.07.2009 are also exempt, subject to meeting conditions related to the mode of award, evaluation, viva-voce, publications, and conference presentations.

Desirable Qualification:

• Ph.D. in Agribusiness Management.

1. Assistant Professor (Agri Business Management)

Weightage Distribution

• Academic Records: 40%
• Written Test: 30%
• Research Publications: 10%
• Viva Voce (Interview): 20%
  Total: 100%

Publication Evaluation (Based on NAAS Ratings)

• NAAS Rating 4.00 to 6.00: 2 marks
• NAAS Rating >6.00 to 8.00: 6 marks
• NAAS Rating >8.00: 10 marks

Candidates are shortlisted for interviews in a 1:4 ratio based on a score out of 80 (excluding viva voce). Final merit is determined by combining all components. Shortlisted candidates will need to travel to Bhubaneswar for the written test and interview, covering all associated expenses themselves.

2. Associate Professor (Agri Business Management)

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum Second Class Bachelor’s Degree (55%)
• Minimum Second Class Master’s Degree (55%)
• Ph.D. in the concerned subject
• At least 8 years of experience as Assistant Professor/equivalent

Your Academic Performance Indicator (API) score will decide interview selection, with candidates shortlisted at a 1:4 ratio. You’ll need at least 50% overall to qualify:

• Experience: 1 mark per year of experience beyond 8 years (capped at 5 marks total).

3. Professor (Agri Business Management)

The selection criteria for the Professor position builds on those for the Associate Professor, with higher experience requirements (typically 10+ years), stronger leadership, and greater emphasis on national/international contributions and research innovations.
