Application Fee:

  • An application fee of ₹100 is applicable for candidates belonging to General, EWS, and OBC categories.
  • The application fee must be paid through a Demand Draft (DD) or Indian Postal Order (IPO) in favor of MUNITIONS INDIA LIMITED, payable at Rajgir.
  • ST, SC, and women candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
  • The application fee is non-refundable, and candidates must ensure that they enclose the necessary documents with their application.

Vacancy Details:

Ordnance Factory Nalanda has announced a total of 30 vacancies across various categories, which include the following:

  • Unreserved (UR): 145 vacancies
  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 547 vacancies
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 222 vacancies
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 97 vacancies
  • Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 131 vacancies
  • Total Vacancies: 189

Ordnance Factory Nalanda reserves the right to modify or cancel the number of vacuities as per organizational requirements.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates applying for the above posts must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Essential Qualification:
  2. Candidates must have a National Apprentice Certificate (NAC) issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) in the respective trade.
  3. Eligible trades include:
    • AOCP (Assistant Operator Chemical Plant)
    • Electronic Mechanic
    • Instrument Mechanic Chemical Plant (IMCP)
    • Mechanical Maintenance Chemical Plant (MMCP)
    • Laboratory Chemical Plant (LACP)
    • Process Plant Operator (PPO)
    • Fitter General
    • Machinist
    • Turner
    • Sheet Metal Worker
    • Electrician
    • Boiler Attendant
    • Mechanic Industrial Electronics
    • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic.
  4. Age Criteria:
    • The age limit for general category candidates is up to 40 years.
    • Age relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, etc.) will be applicable as per the existing government rules.
  5. Other Requirements:
    • Candidates must possess the required educational qualifications, experience, and age criteria as mentioned in the official notification.
    • Original certificates and documents are required to be submitted at the time of document verification.

Pay Scale and Benefits:

Selected candidates will be offered a one-year tenure-based engagement, which may be extended for up to four years, depending on performance and factory requirements. The pay scale and other benefits are as follows:

  1. Pay Scale:
    • Tenure-based personnel will be paid a consolidated remuneration, which is 1/30 of the basic pay of Rs. 19,900/- per month.
    • In addition to the basic pay, candidates will receive Dearness Allowance (DA) and House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per the classification of cities (when Company quarters are not provided).
  2. Annual Increase:
    • A 3% annual increase in basic pay is applicable, subject to satisfactory performance.
  3. Other Benefits:
    • Employees will be eligible for Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) and covered under the Employee’s Compensation Act as per government guidelines.
    • They are also entitled to Risk Allowance for similar work performed by regular employees, in line with current rules.
  4. Leave and Entitlements:
    • Personnel will be eligible for 30 days of leave annually. Leave can be accumulated and encashed after one year of service.
    • They will also be entitled to Night Duty Allowance if deployed in night shifts due to production exigencies.

Selection Process:

The selection process for Ordnance Factory Nalanda will involve the following stages:

  1. Shortlisting:
    • Candidates will be shortlisted based on their National Apprentice Certificate (NAC) marks in the respective trade.
  2. Trade Test/Practical Test:
    • Candidates who clear the initial screening will be invited to appear for the Trade Test or Practical Test.
    • The Trade Test/Practical Test will account for 20% of the final merit score.
  3. Merit List:
    • A combined merit list will be created based on the marks secured in the NAC exam (80% weightage) and the Trade Test (20% weightage).
    • The merit list will be used to call candidates for Document Verification.
  4. Document Verification:
    • Candidates who make it to the merit list will be shortlisted for document verification.
    • Documents required for verification include proof of educational qualifications, age, caste certificates (if applicable), and other relevant supporting documents.
    • Only the number of candidates required for each discipline/category will be called for document verification.
  5. Waitlist:
    • A waitlist will be prepared for each category up to 50% of the total vacancies. Waitlisted candidates may be called for selection if any selected candidates are found ineligible or fail to report.
