NLC Recruitment 2025 for Group C Mining Statutory Roles at Neyveli, Tamil Nadu

To meet its growing operational demands and maintain its legacy of excellence, NLCIL invites online applications from eligible and energetic candidates for the positions of Junior Overman (Trainee) and Mining Sirdar (Selection Grade-I). These Group C posts are part of the statutory workforce for its mining operations based in Neyveli, Tamil Nadu.

Eligibility:

Age Limit (As on 01.04.2025):

  • UR / EWS: 30 years
  • OBC (NCL): 33 years
  • SC / ST: 35 years
  • Ex-Servicemen, internal applicants, persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD), and project-affected persons (PAPs) will receive relaxations and benefits in accordance with prevailing Government guidelines.
  • Maximum age for all categories: 58 years

Educational Qualification and Certificates:

For Junior Overman (Trainee):

  • Must possess a Diploma in Mining or Mining Engineering or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
  • Should have a valid Overman’s Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS under Coal Mines Regulation 2017.
  • Must hold a valid First Aid Certificate.

For Mining Sirdar (Selection Grade-I):Candidates must meet either of the following combinations:

Option 1:

  • Degree or Diploma in any subject (excluding Mining Engineering).
  • Valid Mining Sirdar Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate.

Option 2:

  • Diploma in Mining Engineering.
  • Overman’s Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate.

Salary:

1. Junior Overman (Trainee):

  • Pay Scale: ₹31,000 – ₹1,00,000
  • Grade: S1
  • Approximate Annual CTC: ₹8.53 lakhs

2. Mining Sirdar (Selection Grade-I):

  • Pay Scale: ₹26,000 – 3% – ₹1,10,000
  • Grade: SG1
  • Approximate Annual CTC: ₹7.16 lakhs

Tie-breaker Criteria:

  1. Higher age (older candidate preferred).
  2. Alphabetical order of the name (if DOB is also the same).
