Vacancy Details

NIT Patna is recruiting faculty under a 4-tier flexible cadre structure. The available posts and tentative vacancies are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications:

• B.Tech/BE/BS (4-Years) or Integrated UG-PG + Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
• A minimum of First Division with 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale in prior academic qualifications.
• Ph.D. is mandatory for all new faculty appointments.

Additional Requirements:

• For Assistant Professor (Grade-II): Must meet credit point criteria (based on institute ranking, research publications, and patents).
• For Higher Posts (Assistant Professor Grade-I/Associate Professor/Professor):
  • Teaching/Research experience in reputed institutions.
  • Publications, Patents, Sponsored Projects, PhD Supervision (as per NIT Recruitment Rules).

Note:

• Candidates who obtained their Ph.D. from NIT Patna within the last 3 years are not eligible.
• Original documents must be presented during the interview.
