Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
First division in both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees is mandatory.
Engineering Departments
- UG and PG degrees in Engineering with a PhD in the relevant discipline, or
- Integrated UG-PG Engineering degree with PhD, or
- UG Engineering degree with integrated PG & PhD
Candidates who completed a PhD directly after graduation must have obtained either their UG degree or PhD from a centrally funded technical institution.
Science Departments (Physics & Chemistry)

Mathematics & Computing

Additional Academic Conditions
- A minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale is required where first division is not explicitly mentioned.
- One degree (UG / PG / PhD) must be obtained from a CFTI, Central/State University, or a top-100 NIRF ranked institution.
- Foreign degrees must be from institutions ranked within the top 500 globally at any time.
Experience Requirements
Teaching and research experience will be considered if obtained from:
- Centrally funded institutions
- State government institutions
- NIRF ranked universities and engineering institutions
- IIMs and top management institutions
- Recognized foreign universities (QS/THE top 500)
- National research laboratories (CSIR, DRDO, ISRO, DST, etc.)
- Industrial experience in organizations with turnover above Rs. 500 crore
Post-doctoral research experience is also considered, particularly for Assistant Professor positions.
Age Limit
- Fresh appointments beyond 60 years are generally discouraged.

Salary Scale (Numerical Values Only)
The salary structure is as per the 7th Central Pay Commission and includes basic pay plus applicable allowances.
- Assistant Professor (Level 10): Rs. 56,100 per month (starting basic pay)
- Assistant Professor (Level 12): Rs. 1,01,500 per month (starting basic pay)
- Associate Professor (Level 13A2): Rs. 1,39,600 per month (starting basic pay)
- Professor (Level 14A): Rs. 1,59,100 per month (starting basic pay)
In addition to basic pay, selected candidates will be entitled to Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, and other admissible benefits as per institute rules.
Selection Process
