NCHM JEE 2025: National Testing Agency Announces Entrance Exam for Hotel Management

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the NCHM JEE 2025, a national-level entrance exam for admissions into hotel management programs across top institutes in India. This exam is a gateway for aspiring candidates to secure admission in B.Sc. (Hospitality and Hotel Administration) and other allied courses offered by prestigious institutions like IHMs. The test evaluates candidates on subjects like numerical ability, reasoning, English, and general knowledge. Important Dates

  • Online Registration and Application Submission:
    Starts on 16th December 2024 and closes on 15th February 2025 (until 5:00 PM).
  • Last Date for Fee Payment:
    Complete the transaction by 15th February 2025, up to 11:50 PM.

    Open from 17th February 2025 to 20th February 2025.

Age Limit

Exam Details

  • Mode of Examination: Conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT).
  • Question Format: Objective-type questions with multiple-choice options.
  • Exam Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes).
  • Timing: Scheduled from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
  • Exam Center: Specific details will be mentioned on the Admit Card.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Educational Qualification:
    • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent from a recognized educational board.
    • English must be one of the subjects studied in the qualifying examination (core, elective, or functional).
  2. Provisional Eligibility:
    • Students appearing for their 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2025 are eligible to apply on a provisional basis.
    • However, provisional admission will be canceled if candidates fail to provide proof of passing the qualifying examination by 30th September 2025 during counseling or admission.
  3. Document Verification:
    • Admission is subject to verification of original certificates/documents, including category and PwD certificates (if applicable).
    • If a candidate is later found ineligible due to inability to produce genuine documents, their admission will be canceled, even if they have already joined the institute.

Equivalent Examinations for 10+2

The following qualifications are recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system:

  1. Senior Secondary Education (10+2): Conducted by recognized Central/State Boards, such as CBSE or CISCE.
  2. Intermediate or Pre-University Examination: Conducted by a recognized Board/University.
  3. General Certificate Education (GCE): Advanced (A) Level examinations from London, Cambridge, or Sri Lanka.
  4. Cambridge High School Certificate Examination.
  5. Public School/University Examinations: Recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) or Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to 10+2.
  6. Senior Secondary School Examination by NIOS: Including State Boards of Open Schooling, with at least five subjects, including English.
  7. H.S.C. Vocational Examination: Approved by NCVT and SCVT of the respective State/UT.
