Vacancy Details

NALCO has announced vacancies for Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) posts in three engineering disciplines. The vacancies include reserved and backlog positions as per Government of India norms.

Discipline-Wise Vacancy Distribution

  • Mechanical Engineering: 59 posts
  • Electrical Engineering: 27 posts
  • Chemical Engineering: 24 posts

Vacancies are distributed among UR, EWS, OBC (NCL), SC, ST, and PwBD categories. Reservation and relaxations are applicable as per government rules.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following educational qualifications to be eligible for NALCO GET Recruitment 2026.

Educational Qualification

  • Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology
  • Minimum marks required:
    • 65% for UR / EWS / OBC (NCL)
    • 55% for SC / ST / PwBD
  • Candidates in the final year of engineering are eligible to apply, provided they complete the degree with required marks before the interview.
  • Degree must be obtained from a recognized university or approved institution.

Discipline-Wise Acceptable Qualifications

  • Mechanical: Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical: Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Power Engineering
  • Chemical: Chemical Engineering or M.Tech in Applied Chemistry

Candidates possessing degrees in disciplines other than those specified are not eligible.

Salary Scale

Selection Process

The selection process for NALCO Graduate Engineer Trainee Recruitment 2026 consists of two stages.

Stage 1: Shortlisting Through GATE 2025

  • Only GATE 2025 scores are considered valid.
  • Candidates must have qualified in the relevant GATE paper for their discipline.
  • Shortlisting is done discipline-wise and category-wise in a ratio of 1:10 based on GATE scores.

Stage 2: Personal Interview

  • Shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview.
  • Final merit is prepared based on:
    • 90% weightage to GATE 2025 marks
    • 10% weightage to interview performance

Document verification is conducted at the interview stage, and any discrepancy may lead to cancellation of candidature.
