Mega DSC-2025: Complete Overview of Teacher Recruitment Notification

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has officially released the Mega DSC-2025 Teacher Recruitment Notification, marking a significant opportunity for aspiring educators across the state. This massive recruitment drive, announced under Notification No. 01/Mega DSC-TRC-1/2025 dated 20th April 2025, aims to fill 16,347 teaching vacancies in various government-managed institutions. These include Government Schools under the School Education Department, as well as prestigious residential institutions such as AP Model Schools, APREIS, APSWREIS, APTWREIS (Gurukulam), and MJPAPBCWREIS.

The recruitment offers positions such as School Assistants (SA), Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT), Language Pandits (LP), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), and Post Graduate Teachers (PGT). It provides a golden chance for candidates possessing D.El.Ed, B.Ed, M.Ed, and relevant subject degrees to secure stable, government-backed teaching careers. Selection will be based on a Computer-Based Test (CBT), and candidates must also meet TET qualifications and other eligibility norms.

Application Fee

  • The application fee is ₹750 per post.
  • Applicants opting for more than one post are required to submit individual fee payments for each position.
  • Payment should be made online through credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI.
  • After payment, candidates will receive a Journal Number, which must be used to fill the application form.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility varies by post, with key considerations including academic qualifications, teacher training, TET status, and age.

Academic Requirements

  • Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT): Intermediate (10+2) with D.El.Ed or equivalent and should have cleared TET Paper-I.
  • School Assistant (SA): Graduation in the applicable subject with B.Ed and good in TET Paper- II.
  • Language Pandits: Degree in the relevant language with Pandit Training or B.Ed and qualified in TET Paper-II.
  • To be eligible for the Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) role, candidates must possess a graduate degree in the relevant subject, hold a B.Ed, and have qualified in TET Paper-II.
  • Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): Postgraduate degree in the subject with either B.Ed or M.Ed.

All qualifications must be obtained from institutions recognized by UGC, NCTE, or the State Government.

TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) Requirement:

  • TET Paper-I: Mandatory for SGT posts.
  • TET Paper- II is a obligatory qualification for campaigners applying to SA, Language Pandit, TGT, and PGT posts.
  • TET marks should be valid up to the date of notification.

Age Criteria

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: The upper age limit is set at 44 years as on July 1, 2024.
  • Relaxation:
    • SC/ST/BC: up to 5 years
    • PwD: up to 10 years
    • Ex-servicemen and others: as per applicable government rules

Selection Process

The selection will be purely grounded on merit in the Computer- Grounded Test( CBT). The exam will be held online and consist of objective-type questions.

  • Medium: English and Telugu (bilingual)
  • Subjects:

Candidates must score above the qualifying marks set for their category (e.g., OC: 60%, BC: 50%, SC/ST/PwD: 40%) to be considered for final selection.

There is no interview. The final selection will be based entirely on CBT scores and applicable reservation guidelines.

Go to the official AP DSC application portal.

Step 2: Pay the Application Fee

Click on “ figure Payment ” and enter your introductory details. Pay ₹ 750 per post via online mode. Once the payment is successfully completed, a Journal Number will be automatically generated.

Step 3: Fill Application Form

Using the Journal Number, do to fill the online operation form. Enter particular details, academic qualifications, TET information, and contact information precisely.

Step 4: Upload Documents

Upload scanned copies of:

  • Passport-size photograph
  • Signature

  • TET Certificate
  • Caste/Reservation certificate (if applicable)

Ensure all files are within the prescribed size limits.

Step 5: Preview and Submit

Review the entire form before final submission. Once submitted, changes cannot be made.
