MECON Limited Recruitment 2025: Apply Online for Deputy Manager and Senior Manager Posts

MECON Limited, a Miniratna and Schedule “A” Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Steel, Government of India, has invited online applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Deputy Manager (Socio-Economic) and Senior Manager (Environmental Engineering). The recruitment is aimed at hiring experienced professionals to support the organization’s technical consultancy and project execution activities.

Application Fees

  • General/OBC (NCL)/EWS/SC/ST: Rs. 1000
  • PwD/Ex-Servicemen/Internal Candidates: Exempted

Note: The fee is to be paid online only and is non-refundable.

Age Limit (as on 10 March 2025)

  • Deputy Manager (E-2 Grade): Maximum 32 years
  • Senior Manager (E-4 Grade): Maximum 40 years

Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules for candidates from reserved categories, ex-servicemen, and J&K domicile candidates.

Salary Structure

  • Deputy Manager (E-2 Grade): Rs. 60,000 – 1,80,000 (3% annual increment)
  • Senior Manager (E-4 Grade): Rs. 90,000 – 2,40,000 (3% annual increment)

In addition to basic pay, selected candidates will be eligible for perks and allowances as per MECON’s company policy.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Deputy Manager (Socio-Economic)
Educational Qualification:
Postgraduate degree in any of the following:

  • Social Welfare, Sociology, Political Science, Psychology, Geography, Anthropology, Economics, Environmental Economics, Urban/Regional/Environmental Planning, Developmental Sciences, Rural Development and Management
  • MBA in Rural Management
  • A 2-year postgraduate diploma in Sociology from well-regarded institutions such as TISS, XISS, XLRI, or XIMB.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience after qualification in industry, consulting, or research institutions.
  • You should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience specifically working on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) projects.

Mandatory:

  • NABET Accredited Category-A Functional Area Expert in Socio-Economics (SE)

Desirable:

  • PhD or specialized training in Social Impact Assessment of development projects

2. Senior Manager (Environmental Engineering)
Educational Qualification:

  • B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. Engg. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
    or
  • A master’s degree in Toxicology, Chemical Technology, Industrial Safety, or Chemistry.
    or
  • 1-year Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Safety

Experience:

  • Minimum 13 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in EIA-related work

Mandatory:

  • NABET Accredited Category-A Functional Area Expert in Risk Assessment & Hazard Management (RH)

Preferred:

  • Accreditation as EIA Coordinator or Functional Area Expert in other areas under the QCI-NABET scheme
