Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) Recruitment 2025: Apply for Various Posts on Deputation Basis

The Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) for the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, a statutory body constituted under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has announced an official notification inviting applications for several key posts. These posts are to be filled on a deputation basis under foreign service terms from officers serving under the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territories, Public Sector Undertakings, and Autonomous Bodies.

Age Limit

  • The maximum age of the applicant should not exceed 55 years as on the date of advertisement.
  • The age will be calculated based on the Date of Birth mentioned in the Matriculation Certificate or an equivalent document issued by a recognized authority.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Secretary
    • Education: Graduate degree from a recognized university.
    • Experience: Experience in handling Secretariat operations within Central/State Governments or Union Territories.
    • Service: Officers in similar posts or with 5 years in Level-12 of the Pay Matrix.
  2. Director (Engineering)
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
    • Experience: Proficiency in generation, transmission, distribution, and system planning.
    • Service: Officers in similar posts or with 5 years in Level-12.
  3. Director (Tariff)
    • Education: MBA (Finance) or CA.
    • Experience: Experience in tariff expression, cost analysis, and fiscal operation.
    • Service: Officers in similar posts or with 5 years in Level-12.
  4. Director (Law)
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law.
    • Experience: Experience in judicial/legal matters, with preference for those with regulatory commission experience.
    • Service: Officers in analogous posts or with 5 times in position- 11.
  5. Administrative-Cum-Accounts Officer
    • Education: Graduate degree.
    • Experience: Experience in accounts operation in government services, fresh administration experience preferred
    • Service: Officers in similar posts or with 5 years in Level-8.
  6. Private Secretary
    • Education: Graduate degree.
    • Skills: Computer literate, proficient in MS Office, shorthand, and typing.
    • Experience: At least 5 years in administrative roles, good command of English.
    • Service: Officers in similar posts or with 5 times in Level- 7 or Level- 6.

Pay Scale:

The positions offer the following pay scales in accordance with the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC):

Pay, allowances, and other conditions of service will be governed as per the JERC (Recruitment, Control and Service Conditions of Officers and Staff) Regulations, 2024, as amended from time to time.

Selection Process

  • Selection will be based on deputation on Foreign Service Terms for a period of five years, extendable with the consultation of the Central Government.
  • The applications will be scrutinized based on qualifications, experience, and service particulars.
  • Shortlisted candidates may be called for an interaction/interview, if required.
  • No Travel Allowance( TA) or Dearness Allowance( DA) will be handed for attending the interview.
