The Ministry of Defence, Government of India, is offering an exceptional opportunity for young and talented Indian nationals to join the Institute of Technology Management (ITM), Mussoorie, as Junior Research Fellows (JRFs). ITM, under DRDO, is a leading institution in defense technology research and development. Fellowship Vacancy
- Number of Vacancies: 2 (Two) Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions
- Stipend: Rs. 37,000/- per month
- Fellowship Tenure: Initially for 2 years, extendable up to a maximum of 5 years based on performance.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
- For Science Graduates: A Postgraduate degree in Science (M.Sc.) with first division and a valid NET qualification.
- For Engineering Graduates: A Graduate degree (B.E/B.Tech) in Engineering with first division and a valid GATE score or a Postgraduate degree (M.E/M.Tech) in Engineering with first division at both Graduate and Postgraduate levels.
Age Limit:
- The maximum age for applying is 28 years as on the date of the interview.
- Age relaxation is available as per government norms:
- 5 years for SC/ST candidates
- 3 years for OBC candidates
Other Important Criteria:
- Only candidates who have been awarded their degree or provisional certificate are eligible to apply.
- The fellowship is open to Indian nationals.
Selection and Interview Process
The selection will be based on a walk-in interview scheduled at ITM, Mussoorie. Candidates are advised to reach the venue by 0930 hrs on the date of the interview. In case of a large number of applicants, the interview may continue on the following day.
Additional Information
- Ph.D. Opportunity: Candidates selected for the JRF position may have the opportunity to register for a Ph.D. during their tenure.
- No TA/DA: No travel or daily allowances will be provided for attending the interview or for joining the fellowship if selected.
- Electronics Restrictions: Electronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops, pen drives, or any other gadgets are not allowed inside the ITM campus.
- Verification of Documents: Candidates must bring original certificates for verification during the interview, including qualifications, experience, and age.
