Job Opportunity : Project Technical Support-III at Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Bihar

Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Bihar, established under the Central Universities (Amendment) Act, 2014, is inviting applications for the position of Project Technical Support-III. This position is part of a research project funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The project focuses on the design and development of pyrimidine-based pharmacological chaperones aimed at improving the treatment for Phenylketonuria (PKU). The project is based in the Department of Chemistry, School of Physical Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Motihari, Bihar.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

• The candidate must possess an M.Sc. in Chemical Science or an equivalent degree from a UGC recognized University/Institute.
• A good academic record is required.

Age Limit:

• The maximum age limit for the candidate is 32 years as of the date of the interview.
• Age relaxation will be provided for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India norms.

Fellowship and Emoluments:

• Fellowship: Rs. 28,000/- per month.
• House Rent Allowance (HRA): 10% of Rs. 28,000 (i.e., Rs. 2,800 per month).
• The fellowship will be subject to 5% increment every two years, based on the candidate’s performance and project progress.

Duration of the Position:

• The position will initially be for one year.
• Extension of the position will be subject to the availability of funds, progress of the project, and performance of the candidate.

• The post is purely temporary and dependent on the availability of funds and the progress of the research project.
• The position is coterminous with the project, meaning that the appointment will end when the project concludes or the funds are exhausted.
