Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for the Director position at UIDAI, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Essential Qualifications:
    • For Central Government Officers: Applicants must hold an analogous post on a regular basis in their parent department or have at least three years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level 12 (₹78,800 – ₹2,09,200) or above.
    • For Officers from State or Union Territory Governments, PSUs, or Autonomous Organizations: Applicants must hold a regular post in corresponding grades with the requisite experience.
  2. Age Limit: Applicants must be below 56 years of age as of the closing date for receiving applications (11th April 2025).
  3. Experience: Candidates should have relevant experience in large-scale project management, budget handling, procurement, administration, and coordination with multiple ecosystem partners. Experience in e-governance and ICT-related projects is highly desirable.
  4. Residency Requirement: Applicants must have at least three years of residual service left as of the closing date of the application.
  5. Additional Preferences:
    • Officers with analogous posts in their parent organization may be given preference.
    • Applicants with experience in handling large-scale projects, budget management, and procurement processes will have an advantage.
    • Experience in the field of e-governance and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects is also desirable.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Oversight: Overseeing and managing the implementation of Aadhaar-related programs across the northeastern region of India.
  2. Project Management: Ensuring the successful coordination of large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholders such as government agencies, technology vendors, and service providers.
  3. Policy Enforcement: Ensuring compliance with UIDAI policies and guidelines at the regional level.
  4. Resource Management: Overseeing the regional budget, coordinating procurement processes, and managing resources effectively.
  5. Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring teams, ensuring efficient execution of projects and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  6. Public Engagement: Representing UIDAI in regional meetings and promoting awareness about Aadhaar and its services to citizens.

Terms and Conditions of Deputation:

  1. Duration of Deputation: The deputation period will be for five years, with a minimum residual service of three years. The lending organization may relieve the officer earlier based on its policies, subject to the minimum three-year service requirement.
  2. Salary and Allowances: The Director position falls under Pay Matrix Level 13 (₹1,23,100 – ₹2,15,900). Salary and allowances will be as per UIDAI’s regulations and the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) rules.
  3. Leave and Medical Benefits: During the deputation period, leave will be governed by the Central Civil Services (Leave) Rules, 1972. Medical benefits can be availed through UIDAI’s medical reimbursement scheme or the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), depending on the candidate’s preference.
  4. Other Benefits: Officers of the Director level and above are provided a vehicle for commuting. Additional allowances and benefits as per UIDAI regulations will also be applicable.
