Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intent to settle permanently in India, or
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, or East African nations, intending to settle permanently in India.
Age Limit (as of December 01, 2024)
- The applicant must be between the ages of 58 to 62 years (born between December 2, 1962, and December 1, 1966).
Educational Qualifications
- Civil Engineers who have recently retired from Central/State Government or Public Sector Undertakings at a senior level.
Desirable Qualifications
- Candidates with a background in Information Technology (IT) are preferred, particularly those who have worked on IT-related projects.
Desirable Work Experience
- Experience in handling IT projects or vigilance-related tasks would be an added advantage.
Job Responsibilities
The Superintending Engineer (Vigilance) will report to the Joint Chief Vigilance Officer and handle the following responsibilities:
- Investigate complaints related to the Bank’s construction projects, procurement processes, and other relevant work from a vigilance perspective.
- Conduct inspections based on Chief Technical Examiners’ Organization (CTEO) standards for ongoing projects and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Address clarifications and queries related to contracts and tenders in line with CVC guidelines.
- Provide advice on preventive vigilance and recommend improvements to the procurement and tendering processes.
- Draft and review show-cause notices, charge-sheets, and other documents in connection with the Bank’s vigilance-related activities.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Chief Vigilance Officer or Joint Chief Vigilance Officer of RBI.
Contract Duration
- The initial tenure will be for one year, with the possibility of extension for up to two additional years, depending on mutual agreement and performance.
- Termination of Contract: Either party can end the contract with a three-month notice period.
Salary and Benefits
Monthly Remuneration:
- The basic monthly salary is ₹3,57,200, along with a housing allowance of ₹90,000 (for Mumbai). This is effective from February 1, 2024.
- Depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience, the salary could range from ₹3,57,200 to ₹4,06,500.
- The compensation package is subject to annual adjustments for inflation.
Leave:
- The Superintending Engineer (Vigilance) will be entitled to 30 days of annual leave, which will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for fractional periods. Unused leave cannot be carried forward.
Accommodation:
- The Bank does not provide residential accommodation but includes a housing allowance as part of the salary package.
