IRCON International Limited, a Government of India Undertaking and one of the country’s leading Schedule ‘A’ infrastructure Public Sector Enterprises under the Ministry of Railways, invites applications for the post of Chief General Manager/General Manager – Signalling and Telecommunication (S&T)General Manager/Chief General Manager – Signalling and Telecommunication (S&T): This is a deputation post reserved for senior officers of the Indian Railways, specifically from the Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers (IRSSE) cadre. IRCON has been instrumental in executing large infrastructure projects in India and abroad, and this role provides an excellent opportunity for eligible officers to contribute at a strategic level within a reputed PSU.

Eligibility

1. Service Requirement:

  • The officer should be a member of the Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers (IRSSE).

2. Present Grade/Designation:

  • Should be currently working in SAG/NFSAG (for CGM level) or SG (for GM level).

3. Professional Experience:

  • The candidate must have sound and comprehensive experience in the field of Railway Signalling and Telecommunication, including execution, planning, and project management.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with strong domain expertise and leadership in managing large-scale S&T projects.

4. Age Limit:

  • For officers working in SAG: Not exceeding 58 years
  • For officers working below SAG: Not exceeding 56 years
    (Effective as of the application deadline)

5. Other Requirements:

  • Must have a good service record, be free from vigilance and disciplinary issues, and have good communication and coordination skills.

Salary

The pay scale and benefits are determined based on the officer’s current grade in the parent department (Indian Railways) and the deputation norms of IRCON.

Pay Matrix (as per 7th CPC):

  • Chief General Manager (SAG/NFSAG): ₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200 (Level 14)
  • General Manager (SG): ₹1,23,100 – ₹2,15,900 (Level 13)

Additional Benefits and Allowances (As per IRCON norms):

  • Project Allowance: 10% of basic pay for E-8 and E-9 level officers
  • Transportation Benefits: Eligible for an official vehicle or a transport allowance of up to ₹15,750, along with applicable Dearness Allowance (DA).
  • House Rent Allowance (HRA): 10% to 30% depending on city category
  • Healthcare Benefits: Access to both inpatient and outpatient medical services through either the Railway medical system or IRCON’s own healthcare scheme.
  • Telecom Facilities: Mobile phone and landline with monthly reimbursements

    • Office work at residence

Selection Process

The selection will be made based on:

  • Screening of applications for eligibility and experience

Final selection will be determined by evaluating overall merit and alignment with the requirements of the position. Preference will be given to officers with project execution experience in Railway S&T infrastructure.
