IPHB Goa Recruitment 2025: Walk-In Interview for Psychiatrist & Assistant Professor Posts

The Institute of Psychiatry & Human Behaviour (IPHB), Goa, functioning under the Government of Goa, has invited eligible candidates to attend a walk-in interview for the recruitment of Psychiatrists and an Assistant Professor in Psychiatric Nursing on a contract basis. These posts are offered for a period of one year or until the vacancies are filled on a regular basis—whichever is earlier.

Note: Candidates arriving after 2:30 PM will not be permitted to appear for the interview.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Psychiatrist

Essential Qualifications:

• A valid medical qualification listed in the First or Second Schedule, or in Part II of the Third Schedule (excluding licentiate degrees), as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• Candidates possessing qualifications under Part II of the Third Schedule are also required to meet the criteria outlined in Section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in Psychiatry recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or its equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in Psychiatry as a Junior Resident.
• Knowledge of Konkani is mandatory.

Desirable Qualification:

• Knowledge of Marathi.

2. Assistant Professor in Psychiatric Nursing

Essential Qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
• A minimum of five years’ teaching experience in nursing following the completion of postgraduate qualifications is required.
• Knowledge of Konkani is essential.

Desirable Qualifications:

• PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) in Nursing.
• Knowledge of Marathi.

Pay Scale (Consolidated Remuneration)

Age Limit

• Candidates must be above 18 years and not exceeding 45 years as of the date of the interview.
• Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of Goa rules for reserved categories.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through a walk-in interview conducted by the Director, Institute of Psychiatry & Human Behaviour (IPHB).

• Candidates must report within the registration time between 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM on the respective dates.
• Only candidates who complete the registration within the specified time will be allowed to attend the interview.
• Final selection will be based solely on the performance during the interview and fulfillment of the eligibility criteria.

1. Completed operation form with a recent passport- sized snap attached.
2. Bio-data/Resume detailing academic qualifications, work experience, and other relevant details.
3. Self-attested copies of the following:
   • Educational qualification certificates.
   • Age proof (Birth Certificate or SSC certificate).
   • Valid professional qualifications and registration certificates.
   • Experience certificates.
   • Caste certificate (if applicable).
   • Identity and address proof (Aadhaar, Voter ID, etc.).
4. Any other relevant documents/testimonials.
