Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility varies depending on the branch:

  • Executive Branch (GS(X)/ Hydro Cadre): BE/B.Tech in any discipline with minimum 60% marks.
  • Pilot, NAOO (Observers), ATC: BE/B.Tech in any discipline with 60% marks. Candidates must have 60% in Class X & XII, and at least 60% in English.
  • Logistics: MBA/B.Tech/B.Sc/B.Com with First Class or MCA/ M.Sc(H) with First Class plus PG Diploma in Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Material Management.
  • Education: MSc/MA with minimum 60% marks in Physics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Meteorology, Oceanography, or relevant Engineering specialization with 60% marks.
  • Engineering Branch (GS): BE/B.Tech in Marine, Aerospace, Metallurgy, Instrumentation, Automobiles, or Mechatronics Engineering with 60% marks.
  • Submarine Tech Engineering & Electrical: BE/B.Tech in specified streams with 60% marks.

Salary & Allowances

  • Basic salary: ₹1,25,000 per month for Sub Lieutenant along with other allowances.
  • Special Allowances:
    • Pilot/NAOO: ₹31,250 post-training.
    • Submarine allowance: ₹31,250 post-training.

Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting: Based on normalized marks in qualifying degree.
  2. SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for SSB interviews. Candidates must carry all original documents, including degree certificates, marksheets, passport-sized photos, and other relevant documents.
  3. Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by SSB will undergo medical examination as per the entry requirements.
  4. Merit List & Final Appointment: Based on SSB marks, medical clearance, and service requirement.

Note: NCC ‘C’ certificate holders get 5% relaxation in marks for shortlisting, subject to criteria.

  3. Upload scanned copies of relevant documents in JPG/TIFF format.
  4. Submit the application before 24th February 2026.
  5. Take a printout of the application for future reference and SSB interviews.

Important Instructions:

  • Only unmarried candidates are eligible. Married candidates or those who marry during training will be discharged.
  • Candidates must meet the minimum educational qualifications before joining the Naval Academy, Ezhimala in Jan 2027.
  • False declarations or concealment of information will lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage.
  • Selected candidates will be inducted as Sub Lieutenant with a probation period of 2 years.
