Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) OR
Possess ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certificate
Qualification must be from a Board/Institute recognized by the Central or State Government.
Selection Process
1. Written Test
Objective type questions from:
General Knowledge
General English (Class 10th level)
Duration: 1 hour
Total Marks: 50
Qualifying Marks for UR: 50%
Only those who pass the written test will move to the next stage.
2. Professional Skill Test (PST)
This is of qualifying nature (Q/NQ).
Tasks include:
Sweeping
Mopping
Cleaning of drains and toilets
Maintenance of septic tanks and sewer lines
Candidates must qualify each task to proceed further.
3. Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Also of qualifying nature (Q/NQ).
Candidates must complete:
1.6 km run within 7 minutes
20 squat-ups (Uthak-Baithak)
10 push-ups
4. Medical Examination
Final stage of selection.
Conducted as per medical standards of the Indian Coast Guard.
Candidates must be physically and medically fit.
