Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Registrar position, candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience criteria:

Educational Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent qualification with at least 55% marks from a recognized university or institute.

Experience:

Candidates should have experience that fits one of these two options:

Option 1:

  • A minimum of 15 years working in academic administration.
  • Out of these, 8 years must be in a higher administrative role, such as an Associate Professor or equivalent, at Pay Level-12 or above.

Option 2:

  • Minimum of 15 years of administrative experience in academic or research institutions, universities, or government organizations, including 8 years in a senior administrative role (Deputy Registrar or equivalent) at Pay Level-12 or higher.

Age Limit:

  • For Deputation: Maximum age of 56 years.
  • For Short-term Contract: Maximum age of 62 years.

Pay Scale and Benefits:

The selected candidate will be offered a competitive salary and allowances as per the government norms:

  • Pay Level 14 under the 7th Pay Commission.
  • The monthly salary will be in the range as per Level-14.
  • Additional benefits like medical allowances, Leave Travel Concession (LTC), and retirement benefits under the New Pension Scheme (NPS) will be applicable.

Candidates will also be entitled to other allowances as per the Central Government rules.

Selection Process:

The selection process for the Registrar post includes the following stages:

  1. Shortlisting of Applications:
    • The initial selection will be based on the eligibility and experience mentioned in the application forms. Only the shortlisted candidates will be called for the next stage.
  2. Interview:
    • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a personal interview, where they will be assessed based on their administrative skills, experience, and knowledge relevant to the role of Registrar.
  3. Screening Test (if applicable):
    • In case the selection committee finds it necessary, a screening test will be conducted before the interview.
  4. Final Selection:

  5. TA for Interview:
    • Candidates selected for the interview will be reimbursed 2AC train fare or Economy class airfare for travel to and from the interview location as per government norms.
