Eligibility Criteria
For Assistant Lecturer (Permanent)
Category A Eligibility (Postgraduate Route):
Must hold a Postgraduate degree in Hospitality/Tourism/MBA
Must have a full-time degree or three-year diploma in Hotel Administration or similar fields
Should have scored minimum 55% marks
Must have cleared NHTET with the required percentage
Desirable: Ph.D. in a relevant subject and 6 months of experience in a 3-star or above hotel
Category B Eligibility (Bachelor’s Route):
Full-time Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or related discipline
Minimum 55% marks in graduation
At least 2 years of industry experience
Must have qualified NHTET
Exemption from NHTET:
Applicants possessing Ph.D. in relevant hospitality topics are not required to clear NHTET
Age Limit:
Maximum age is 35 years as on 2nd May 2025
Relaxation in age is granted as per government norms
For Lecturer-cum-Instructor (Short-Term Contract)
Educational Qualification:
Postgraduate in Hospitality / Tourism / MBA
Full-time Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or related fields
Minimum 55% marks
Experience Requirements:
Either 5 years’ teaching experience as Assistant Lecturer OR
7 years of total teaching and industry experience with a minimum of 3 years of teaching or training in a 3-star or higher category hotel
Desirable Qualification:
Ph.D. in relevant hospitality/tourism fields
Age Limit:
Should not exceed 40 years as on 2nd May 2025
Age relaxation applicable for SC category as per rules
Pay Scale and Salary Structure
Assistant Lecturer (Permanent):
Salary as per 7th Pay Commission, Level 6
Pay range is ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 per month
Lecturer-cum-Instructor (Contractual):
Fixed monthly consolidated salary of ₹45,000

Selection Process
Assistant Lecturer:
Selection based on Skill Test conducted as per NCHMCT norms
NHTET score carries significant weightage
Lecturer-cum-Instructor:
Selection includes a Written Test followed by a Skill Test
Skill test will assess teaching and practical hospitality capabilities
