The Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), Mumbai, invites applications from eligible Indian citizens for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor (Regular/Contract/Visiting)IGIDR is a top research institute set up by the Reserve Bank of India that focuses on both research and teaching related to development issues, especially in economics and related fields, using an interdisciplinary approach. The recruitment is aimed at strengthening its academic team and promoting high-quality research and teaching in various specialized fields of economics.

Eligibility
A. Professor
- Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in a relevant area of specialization.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of post-Ph.D. experience in teaching/research, with at least 4 years as Associate Professor or equivalent.
- Publications: At least 12 publications, with a minimum of 10 in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus/ABDC/ABS, and at least 3 in top-tier journals (Scopus Q1 or ABDC A/A*).
- Ph.D. Supervision: Should have guided at least 5 Ph.D. students (4 graduated + 1 thesis submitted or published work).
- Research Projects: Desirable to have completed at least two externally funded research projects as Principal Investigator.
B. Associate Professor
- Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in a relevant area of specialization.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of post-Ph.D. A minimum of three years of experience in the role of Assistant Professor or in an equivalent position is required..
- Publications: At least 6 publications, with 5 in reputed journals and at least 2 in Scopus Q1 or ABDC A/A* journals.
- Ph.D. Supervision: Should have guided at least 3 Ph.D. students (2 graduated + 1 in advanced stage).
- Research Projects: Desirable to have handled at least one externally funded project as Principal Investigator.
C. Assistant Professor (Regular/Contract/Visiting)
- Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in a relevant area of specialization.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience at an institute of repute.
- Publications: At least 3 publications, with 2 in reputed journals and 1 in Scopus Q1 or ABDC A/A* journal.
- Candidates with less than 3 years of experience or those awaiting Ph.D. award can be considered for contractual or visiting faculty positions.

- Initial Pay: Rs. 70,900 (Pay Level 10, Cell 8)

- Consolidated Pay: Rs. 1,19,493 per month
- Appointment initially for 1 year, extendable up to 2 years

Selection Process
