ICMR Recruitment: Project Manager for PM-Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM)

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is seeking qualified professionals for the role of Project Managers under the PM-Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM). This project is a key part of the government initiative to improve the healthcare infrastructure all over the country. The Project Managers will have a central role in the smooth execution of the program, within the Program Management and Implementation Unit (PMIU) set up by ICMR. The shortlisted applicants will be responsible for several activities under PM-ABHIM, with the objective of filling gaps in health infrastructure, surveillance, and research, thereby enhancing the ability of the nation to manage health crises and pandemics efficiently.

Eligibility

The qualifications required for each role are detailed below:

Project Manager – Scientific (Medical)

• Qualifications: MBBS, preferably MD in PSM or Community Medicine.
• Work Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in BSL-2+ or BSL-3 laboratory settings. Experience in handling biomedical instruments and preparation of scientific proposals is required. Familiarity with computer applications and scientific document preparation is a must.
• Maximum age: 40 years as of the application submission date.

Project Manager – Scientific (Non-Medical)

• Qualifications: Postgraduate degree with Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or Pharma.
• Experience: At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in managing high-value projects, monitoring physical and financial progress, and organizing meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
• Maximum age: 40 years as of the application submission date.

Project Manager – Technical (CPC Division)

Educational Qualification: Must hold a first-class undergraduate degree along with an MBA specializing in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
Professional Experience: Should possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience, particularly in managing high-value projects. This includes tracking both financial and physical progress, as well as coordinating and conducting project-related meetings.
Age Criteria: Applicants must be 40 years old or younger on the date of application.

Project Manager – Administration

Educational Qualification: A first-class graduate degree paired with an MBA or MPM in Human Resources is required.
Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in handling large-scale projects, including overseeing financial and operational progress, and scheduling or managing meetings.
Age Requirement: Candidates must not be older than 40 years on the date of application submission.

Project Manager – Finance

Educational Qualification: Candidates should be first-class graduates and hold a professional qualification such as CA, ICWA, or an MBA in Finance.
Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience after qualification in financial management, with expertise in preparing budget forecasts and reviewing the finances of large-scale projects.
Age Criteria: Applicants must not exceed 40 years of age on the application date.

Salary

• The monthly remuneration for all positions ranges between Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 2 lakhs, depending on the candidate’s experience and merit.
• Compensation will be decided in accordance with the selected candidates’ qualifications and relevant professional experience.

Selection Process

• The selection process includes an interview that will be conducted in a hybrid mode, offering candidates the option to attend either physically or virtually.
• Only candidates who are shortlisted will receive an invitation to attend the interview.
