Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have one of the following degrees:
- Postgraduate Degree in Basic Sciences (Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Plant Science) OR
- Postgraduate Degree in Professional Courses (Genetics & Plant Breeding, Agricultural Biotechnology) with at least 60% marks or equivalent OGPA.
- Candidates must be selected through a national-level examination, such as:
- CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship/Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
- National-level exams conducted by DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.
Desirable Experience:
- Field experiments and field crop evaluation.
- SSR and SNP genotyping.
- Association mapping analysis.
- Transcriptome and bioinformatics analysis.
- Published research papers in relevant fields.
Age Limit:
- General Candidates: Up to 35 years as of the interview date.
- SC/ST/Women Candidates: Relaxation of 5 years.
- OBC Candidates: Relaxation of 3 years.
Pay Scale
- Salary: Rs. 31,000/- per month + 24% HRA
