Hiring Notice: Consultant for Deputy Registrar Role at Armed Forces Tribunal, Kolkata

The Armed Forces Tribunal, Regional Bench, Kolkata, invites applications from eligible retired government servants for engagement as Consultant for the post of Deputy Registrar. The appointment will be on a contractual basis for a period of one year or until the post is filled through regular recruitment, whichever is earlier. Eligibility Criteria

A. Who Can Apply

Applications are invited only from retired Government Servants from the following sectors:

  • Central Government
  • State Government
  • Supreme Court
  • High Courts
  • District Courts
  • Statutory or Autonomous Bodies having pensionary benefits

B. Service Requirements

The applicant must have held:

  • A similar position held on a permanent basis in the parent department or cadre, OR
  • Five years of regular service in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix, OR
  • Six years of regular service in Level 8 of the Pay Matrix, OR
  • Seven years of regular service in Level 7 of the Pay Matrix

C. Experience

  • Minimum five years of experience in personnel and administrative or judicial work is essential.

D. Desirable Qualification

  • A law degree from a recognized university is considered preferable.

E. Age Limit

  • The maximum age limit for the position is 65 years as on the last date for receipt of applications, i.e., 09.05.2025.

F. Other Requirements

  • The candidate should be well-versed with the functioning of the Central Government or its departments.
  • Familiarity with various rules and regulations issued by the Central Government from time to time is essential.
  • The consultant must be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties associated with the post.

Salary

The selected candidate will be entitled to a monthly consolidated remuneration of Rs. 80,000/- (Rupees Eighty Thousand only).

  • This amount is fixed and subject to TDS as per government norms.
  • The consultant will not be eligible for any extra allowances, including:
    • Dearness Allowance (DA)
    • House Rent Allowance (HRA)
    • Transport/Conveyance Allowance
    • Medical Reimbursement
    • CGHS or Residential Accommodation
    • Personal Staff or any other perks
