Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must ensure that they meet the prescribed educational qualifications and experience requirements as of the last date of application submission.

1. Administrative Officer

  • Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized university
  • Selection will be conducted through an all-India level written examination followed by an interview

2. Laboratory Assistant

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in handling and maintaining sophisticated scientific laboratory instruments
  • Experience must be from a recognized university, research institution, government department, PSU, autonomous body, or a reputed private organization with a minimum annual turnover of ₹200 crore

3. Junior Assistant

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
  • English typing speed of 35 words per minute or Hindi typing speed of 30 words per minute
  • Working knowledge of computer operations

4. Library Attendant

  • 10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognized board
  • Certificate course in Library Science from a recognized institution
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications is desirable

5. Laboratory Attendant

  • 10+2 with Science stream from a recognized board
    OR
  • 10th pass with Science as a subject along with a skill certificate in Laboratory Technology or ITI in a relevant trade

Age Limit

The upper age limit differs based on the post applied for. Age will be calculated as on the closing date of application submission.

  • Administrative Officer: Maximum 40 years
  • Laboratory Assistant: Maximum 32 years
  • Junior Assistant: Maximum 32 years
  • Library Attendant: Maximum 32 years
  • Laboratory Attendant: Maximum 32 years

Age Relaxation

Age relaxation is applicable as per Central Government and University of Delhi rules for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and departmental candidates. Additional relaxation is also available for candidates currently working on contract, daily wage, or ad-hoc basis in the University of Delhi or its constituent colleges, subject to prescribed conditions.

Salary Scale (Numerical Format)

Selected candidates will receive salaries as per the 7th Central Pay Commission, along with admissible allowances. The approximate monthly pay in numerical terms is as follows:

  • Administrative Officer: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 per month
  • Laboratory Assistant: ₹25,500 – ₹81,100 per month
  • Junior Assistant: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200 per month
  • Library Attendant: ₹18,000 – ₹56,900 per month
  • Laboratory Attendant: ₹18,000 – ₹56,900 per month

In addition to basic pay, employees will be entitled to allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and other benefits as per University of Delhi norms.
