Goa PSC Hiring 2025 – Apply Now for Govt Jobs in Various Departments

The Goa Public Service Commission (Goa PSC) has released Advertisement of the year 2025, inviting online applications from eligible candidates for various posts across multiple government departments. This includes vacancies in the Directorate of Vigilance, Public Health Department, Goa Medical College, Directorate of Technical Education, Directorate of Higher Education, Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, and the Department of Home.

These roles vary from Assistant Professors and Medical Officers to College Principals and Welfare Officers, giving a great chance for aspirants with professional degrees and experience to get a government job in Goa.

Important Dates

• Last Date to Apply (All posts except deputation): 25th April 2025
• Last Date to Apply (Deputation-based post): 25th May 2025

Application Fee

The application fee is payable via both online and offline modes.

Online Payment:

• Pay online and download the e-receipt as proof of successful payment.

Offline Payment:

• Generate an e-challan.
• You can make a cash payment at any State Bank of India branch within Goa.
• Obtain the bank stamp on the e-challan.
• Submit the stamped copy to the Commission’s office before the last date.

Note: Applications without successful fee payment or those submitted after the last date will be rejected. Please note that the fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Vacancy Details

Age Limit

• General Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years
• Principal Posts: Not exceeding 55 years
• Age Relaxation: As decided by government regulation for reserved class

Salary Details

• Assistant Technical Examiner: Pay Level 7
• Assistant Professor (Medical): Pay Level 11 (Pre-revised ₹15,600–39,100 + GP ₹6,600)
• Medical Officer: Offered under Pay Level 10, with a pre-revised salary of ₹15,600–39,100 plus a Grade Pay of ₹5,400.
• Assistant Professor in Fine Art position comes under Pay Level 10, with a pre-revised scale of ₹15,600–39,100 and a Grade Pay of ₹6,000.
• Principal (Higher Education): Appointed at Pay Level 14, corresponding to ₹37,400–67,000 with an Academic Grade Pay of ₹10,000 and an additional special allowance.
• Physical Education Teachers & Sports Organizers: Pay Level 7 (Pre-revised ₹9,300–34,800 + GP ₹4,600)
• Welfare Officer: Pay Level 6

Eligibility Criteria

1. Assistant Technical Examiner (Deputation)

• Officers holding Assistant Engineer or Junior Engineer posts (3 years’ experience for JEs).
• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Preferable: Experience in a research organization.

2. Assistant Professor in Emergency Medicine

• Essential Qualification: MBBS degree approved by the Indian Medical Council Act.
• Postgraduate degree in Emergency Medicine.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a teaching post after postgraduation.
• Knowledge of Konkani (essential), Marathi (desirable).

3. Medical Officer

• Should hold a medical degree approved under the Indian Medical Council Act or possess a qualification from Goa Medical School.
• Completion of rotating internship.
• Knowledge of Konkani (essential), Marathi (desirable).
• Desirable: Experience in medical practice or relevant specialty.

4. Assistant Professor in Fine Art (Applied Art)

• Should have a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Applied Art, with at least First Class in either of the two.
• Preferred Qualification: Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in the field of Physical Education.
• Knowledge of Konkani (essential), Marathi (desirable).

5. Principal (Colleges)

• Ph.D. in relevant discipline.
• Professor/Associate Professor with 15 years of teaching/research experience.
• A total of 10 research publications is required, with at least 2 appearing in Scopus or Web of Science indexed journals.
• Minimum 110 Research Score as per UGC norms.
• Knowledge of Konkani (essential), Marathi (desirable).

6. Physical Education Teachers / Sports Organizers

• Degree in Physical Education.
• Participation in national/international sports events on at least two occasions.
• Knowledge of Konkani (essential), Marathi (desirable).
• An added advantage would be a minimum of two years of teaching experience in Physical Education.

7. Welfare Officer

• Degree in Social Work/Sociology/Psychology or equivalent.
• 5 years’ experience in relevant field.
• Knowledge of Konkani (essential), Marathi (desirable).

Selection Process

• The selection will be through interview only.
• If the number of applications is large, the Commission will shortlist candidates as per their guidelines.
• Fulfilling eligibility criteria does not automatically guarantee a call for interview.
