Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
- M.Sc. or M.Tech in Life Sciences or a related field, with a minimum of four years of practical research experience in bioinformatics analysis of genomic or metagenomic data.
- Ph.D. in Life Sciences or equivalent with expertise in bioinformatics of genomic/metagenomic data.
- Age Limit: 40 years as of the last date of application.
Desirable Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in DNA sequence data analysis from FASTQ files, especially for human genomic or metagenomic samples.
- Proficiency in Shotgun Metagenomics and 16S rRNA Gene Sequence data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of Perl/Python, Linux, and R programming.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
Pay Scale
- Salary: ₹42,000/- + 27% HRA = ₹53,340 (Consolidated, fixed monthly emolument)
Other Details
- This position is contractual and will be initially appointed up to 30th September 2025.
- Extension of tenure will depend on performance, project requirements, and availability of funds.
