Eligibility Criteria

Assistant Teacher (Geography)

• Educational Qualification:
  • Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Geography from a recognized university.
  • A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in teaching in English is essential.
• Age Limit:
  • Minimum: 18 years
  • Maximum: 38 years as on 01 January 2025
  • Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per State Government norms.

Sweeper (Male)

• Educational Qualification:
  • Class VIII pass from a recognized school.
• Age Limit:
  • Minimum: 18 years
  • Maximum: 38 years as on 01 January 2025
  • Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per State Government norms.

Helper to Cook

• Educational Qualification:
  • Class VIII pass from a recognized school.
  • Both male and female candidates are eligible.
• Age Limit:
  • Minimum: 18 years
  • Maximum: 38 years as on 01 January 2025
  • Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per State Government norms.

Salary Structure

• Assistant Teacher (Geography): Rs. 16,000 per month (Consolidated)
• Sweeper (Male): Rs. 9,380 per month (Consolidated)
• Helper to Cook: Rs. 9,380 per month (Consolidated)

Selection Process

• The selection process for all posts will be conducted through viva-voce (interview).
• The exact date, time, and venue of the interview will be communicated later to eligible applicants.

Weightage for Selection

• Assistant Teacher (Geography):
  • 90% weightage to educational qualifications
  • 10% weightage to viva-voce
• Sweeper (Male) and Helper to Cook:
  • 60% weightage to educational qualifications
  • 40% weightage to viva-voce

Application Process

1. Interested candidates must obtain the prescribed application form from the official website of Kalimpong district administration starting from 09 April 2025.
2. Candidates should fill out the application form completely and accurately.
3. Duly filled-in application forms must be submitted along with the required documents listed below.
4. Applications must be submitted either:
   • In person, or
   • By post to the Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer, Kalimpong (CA Section) during office hours.
5. The last date for submission of the application form is 05 May 2025 up to 5:00 PM.

Incomplete applications or those submitted without the requisite documents will be rejected.

For Non-Teaching Posts (Sweeper and Helper to Cook):
