Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for the position of Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) are as follows:
A. Essential Qualifications and Conditions:
- Eligibility of Officers: Officers from the Central Government Services, All India Services (AIS), organized Group ‘A’ Services, State Government Officers, Union Territories, PSUs, Autonomous Bodies, or Statutory Bodies can apply.
- Current Position and Experience:
- Officers must either be holding an analogous post on a regular basis, or must have 5 years of service in a post with a Pay Level-10 as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
B. Desirable Conditions:
- Relevant Experience:
- Officers with experience in industrial development, foreign trade, estate development, and administration will be preferred.
C. Age Limit:
- The maximum age limit for applicants shall not exceed 56 years as of the closing date for the receipt of applications.
Salary
- The selected candidate will be appointed in Pay Level-11 as per the 7th CPC matrix, which is the prescribed pay scale for this position.
- The salary will be provided in accordance with government rules for deputation posts. Specific allowances and other benefits will be governed by the Department of Personnel & Training (DOPT) guidelines.
Selection Process
- The selection process will include a review of the applications received along with the Confidential Reports, Vigilance Clearance, and Cadre Clearance submitted by the candidates.
- Based on the qualifications and experience, eligible candidates will be shortlisted for further assessment, which may include interviews or other evaluations as deemed necessary by the Department of Commerce.
