Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Essential: 10+2 / XII Standard pass or equivalent.
OR
3-year diploma after 10th grade from a recognized institute holds equal value to a 12th standard qualification.
Typing Proficiency
English Typing: 35 words per minute
OR
Hindi Typing: 30 words per minute (That’s the same as typing at a pace of 10,500 and 9,000 keystrokes per hour, respectively)
Typing Test Duration: 10 minutes (Qualifying Nature Only)
Age Limit
Maximum Age: Applicants must be 28 or younger when applying
Age Relaxation: As per Govt. of India / CSIR rules
Pay Scale and Benefits
Pay Level: Level 2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200)
Total Monthly Emoluments: ₹36,220/- (approx.) including HRA.
Other Benefits:
DA, HRA (if housing isn’t provided), and TA will be given as per Central Government rules.
Medical reimbursement, LTC, Children’s Education Allowance.
New Pension Scheme (NPS 2004)
Career progression under CSIR Administrative Rules (ASRP, 2020).

Selection Process
Written Examination (Open Competitive)
Paper-I: General awareness, reasoning, quantitative aptitude, etc.
Paper-II: English/ Hindi language and comprehension
Only those who qualify Paper-I (cutoff decided by the committee) will have Paper-II evaluated.
Typing Proficiency Test
Qualifying in nature.
Clearing the typing test is mandatory for inclusion in the final merit list.
Final Merit List
Based solely on written examination scores.
Only those who pass the typing test will be taken into consideration.
