Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- SSC/10th Standard or Equivalent with Science subjects and a minimum of 55% marks, along with an ITI Certificate in the relevant trade. OR
- SSC/10th Standard (Matric) or equivalent with Science subjects and two years of full-time experience as an apprentice trainee. OR
- SSC/10th Standard or Equivalent with Science subjects and three years of relevant work experience in the field.
2. Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 28 years (as of 16th February 2025).
- Relaxation in Age:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities): Up to 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen (ESM): As per government norms
Pay Scale and Benefits
- Pay Level: Level-2 in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix
- Salary Range: ₹19,900 to ₹63,200 per month
- Total Emoluments: Approx. ₹38,483 per month (including allowances).
The salary includes basic pay and allowances like House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and other benefits as per CSIR rules.
Selection Process
The recruitment process for CLRI Technician (1) posts consists of two stages:
1. Stage I: Trade Test
- The Trade Test is qualifying in nature. Candidates will be tested for their practical skills and technical knowledge in the relevant trade.
- Only candidates who qualify in the Trade Test will proceed to Stage II.
2. Stage II: Competitive Written Examination
- The Competitive Written Examination will evaluate the theoretical knowledge of candidates in their respective fields.
