Central Electronics Limited (CEL) Recruitment 2025: Applications Invited for Advisor/Consultant Position on Contractual Basis

Central Electronics Limited (CEL), a Government of India Enterprise under the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, has invited applications from experienced and eligible retired officers for the post of Advisor/Consultant on a contractual basis.

This hiring campaign seeks to onboard highly qualified professionals who will be able to contribute to CEL’s business development, strategic planning, and government outreach programs. CEL is a Mini Ratna organization involved in businesses such as Solar Photovoltaic (SPV), Railway Electronics, Defence Electronics, and Integrated Solutions.

• Retirement Cut-off Date: Candidates retiring on or before 31st July 2025 are eligible

Vacancy Details

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: Should not be more than 63 years as on 1st April 2025
• The appointment can be extended up to the age of 65 years, depending on performance and organizational needs.

Salary / Remuneration

Based on Mode of Engagement:

1. Reemployment Basis:
   • Salary as per Central Government norms: Last Pay Drawn minus Pension
   • Transportation facility will be provided
2. Reengagement Basis (Advisor/Consultant):
   • Consolidated professional fee of ₹1.5 lakhs per month (exclusive of GST)
   • Transportation support will be provided
   • Expected to attend the office for 10–12 days per month
   • Must be available on other days as needed via telephone/VC

Eligibility Criteria

Experience & Background Requirements:

Candidates must fulfill one of the following two categories:

Category A: Retired Central Government Officials

• Must have retired from:
  • Level 17, Level 16, or Level 15
  • Or have at least 5 years’ service in Level 14 of the 7th CPC pay scale
• Retired Defence Forces personnel with equivalent ranks are also eligible

Category B: Retired CPSE Executives

• Must have served in a Board-level position for at least 2 years before retirement

Additional Requirements (for both categories):

• Minimum 5 years of experience in leadership roles such as:
  • Business Development
  • Strategic Planning
  • Government Relations
• Should have worked in high-technology sectors such as:
  • Railway Electronics
  • Defence Electronics
  • Information Technology
  • Or any other industry relevant to CEL

Selection Process

• Shortlisting: Based on qualifications and relevant experience
• Interaction/Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview at CEL’s Sahibabad office
• Final Selection: Based on overall suitability and performance in the interaction
