Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- Executive Trainee (Chemical):
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related disciplines (e.g., Petrochemical, Chemical Technology) with a minimum of 65% marks.
- Executive Trainee (Instrumentation):
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical & Instrumentation, or related fields with a minimum of 65% marks.
- Executive Trainee (Electrical):
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields with a minimum of 65% marks.
- Executive Trainee (Mechanical):
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, or related disciplines with a minimum of 65% marks.
- Executive Trainee (BIS):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with a minimum of 65% marks, OR
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks and a Master’s degree in Computer Application (MCA) with a minimum of 65% marks.
Age Limit
- You must be 26 years old or younger as of 18th March 2025.
Age Relaxations:
- SC/ST candidates get a 5-year relaxation.
- OBC (NCL) candidates get a 3-year relaxation.
- PwBD candidates get a 10-year relaxation (for general and EWS categories), 13 years (for OBC), and 15 years (for SC/ST).
- Ex-Servicemen are also given age relaxations based on their service duration.
Selection Process
- GATE-2025: The first step is to appear for the GATE-2025 exam. Your GATE score will be used to shortlist candidates for further selection.
- Interviews: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews or other selection rounds, if required.
Training & Placement
- Training Period: Selected candidates will go through 1 year of training during which they’ll receive a stipend.
- Post-Training: After completing the training successfully, candidates will be confirmed in their positions and continue working with GAIL.
Medical Fitness
- All selected candidates will undergo a medical examination to confirm their fitness for the role. Medical clearance is mandatory before final appointment.
