Bathinda Court Recruitment 2025: Stenographer Grade III Post Notification

The Office of the District & Sessions Judge, Bathinda, has issued a publish notice inviting operations for the reclamation of Stenographer Grade- III posts on an ad- hoc base for period of six months or until the regular movables are made by the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh.  This is an excellent opportunity for graduates with proficiency in shorthand and computer applications to secure a government job within the judicial system of Punjab.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Stenographer Grade-III position, you’ll need to meet these requirements:

Educational Qualification

  • Hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Science or equivalent qualification
  • Must have cleared Matriculation with Punjabi as a subject
  • Must have proficiency in computer operations, including word processing and spreadsheets.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 37 years (for General category)

Age Relaxation: Applicable as per rules of the Punjab Government and Hon’ble High Court for reserved categories:

  • SC/ST, BC/OBC, Ex-servicemen, and Physically Handicapped candidates are eligible for relaxation according to the Punjab Government norms.
  • Reserved category candidates from other states will be considered under the General category only.

Pay Scale

The selected candidates will receive fixed monthly emoluments as per the instructions of the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh:

Selection Process

The selection process for the post of Stenographer Grade-III will be based on a Shorthand and Typing Test followed by document verification.

Shorthand & Typing Test

  • Candidates will have to qualify a Shorthand test in English at a speed of 80 W.P.M.
  • They must transcribe the dictated passage on the computer at a speed of 20 W.P.M.
  • Proficiency in computer operations is mandatory.

Candidates must bring original testimonials and valid identity proof during the test.

  2. Fill the application form completely and legibly in English or Punjabi.
  3. Attach the following:
    • Self-attested copies of educational and category certificates.
    • Two recent passport-size photographs.
    • Valid identity proof (Aadhaar card, Voter ID, etc.).
  4. Mention active contact number and email ID in the form for communication.
