Assam Petro-Chemicals Limited Apprentice Engagement 2025 – Official Notification

Assam Petro-Chemicals Limited (APL), a Government of Assam enterprise and prominent State Level Public Sector Undertaking, is offering an opportunity for Diploma holders to attend a Walk-in-Interview for apprenticeship roles. Renowned for manufacturing Methanol from Natural Gas and producing Formalin as a value-added product, APL invites qualified candidates to be part of its industrial training initiative. With a strong commitment to industrial development and human resource engagement, the company is offering a great opportunity for fresh diploma holders to gain hands-on experience through its apprenticeship program.

The organization is looking to engage a total of 17 candidates who have completed their diplomas in specific engineering streams. This apprenticeship training is intended to provide practical exposure and technical skills to young diploma holders, thereby preparing them for future employment opportunities in the industrial sector.

Walk-in-Interview Dates

Candidates are required to attend the interview based on their discipline on the following scheduled dates:

• 16th June 2025 – For candidates in Mechanical and Civil disciplines
• 17th June 2025 – For candidates in Chemical and Instrumentation disciplines
• June 18, 2025 – Specifically scheduled for candidates specializing in the Electrical discipline.

Time: From 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on each day.

Application Fees

There is no application fee for attending the Walk-in-Interview for the Apprentice positions at APL.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have completed a Diploma in Engineering or ITI in the relevant disciplines as listed.
• The diploma should have been obtained in the years 2022, 2023, or 2024 onwards.
• A minimum of 55% aggregate marks in the qualifying diploma/ITI is required.

Relaxation in Marks

• Candidates from SC, ST(P), ST(H), and OBC categories are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the required marks.

Age Limit

• No minimum or maximum age criteria have been mentioned by the organization for these apprenticeship roles. However, candidates should meet the general eligibility standards prescribed under Apprenticeship Rules.

Salary

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprenticeship Rules (amended in 2019):

• Diploma in Engineering holders: ₹ 8,000 per month
• ITI holders: ₹ 7,000 per month

The stipend will be credited through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), for which bank account Aadhaar seeding must be completed before or during joining.

Selection Process

• The selection process is based entirely on a Walk-in-Interview.
• Candidates will be assessed on their academic credentials, technical knowledge, and overall suitability for apprenticeship roles.
• Final selection will be subject to verification of original documents and eligibility.

Duration of Apprenticeship

• The apprenticeship training will be for a period of 1 (one) year only.
• Location of training will be at Namrup or Boitamari, Assam, depending on departmental requirements.

4. Copy of ITI Certificate (if applicable)
5. Latest updated biodata (as per format in Annexure I)
6. Four latest coloured passport size photographs
7. Copy of Aadhaar Card (address proof)
8. Copy of PAN Card
9. Copy of Bank Passbook
10. Valid Caste Certificate (if applicable)
11. Original Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a Government Doctor
12. 16-digit NATS 2.0 Registration Number (for Diploma holders)
13. 11-digit NAPS Registration Number (for ITI holders)
