The National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB), a statutory body functioning under the administrative control of the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India, is inviting applications for the engagement of Young Professional (GIS) on a full-time contractual basis.
This role is meant to help with several important GIS (Geographic Information System) projects. These include developing and maintaining the Geo-Portal for the National Capital Region (NCR), assisting in mapping and planning tasks for the Regional Plan-2041, and working on other projects that involve spatial data and mapping.

Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
Candidates applying for the Young Professional (GIS) post must have the following educational qualifications:
- B.E. (Civil) / B.Tech (Civil) / B.Arch. / B. Planning
- Post Graduate Diploma in Remote Sensing (RS) / Geographic Information System (GIS)
Experience
- A minimum of two years of relevant work experience in GIS-related projects is mandatory.
Desirable Qualification
- Candidates holding a Master’s Degree in Planning (in any stream) will be given preference.
Age Limit
- Candidates must be 32 years of age or younger by the last date of application submission.
Salary and Remuneration
- Monthly Remuneration: A consolidated amount of ₹70,000/- per month.
- This is a fixed remuneration and no other allowances will be paid except for those mentioned under travel entitlements.
Selection Process
- The National Capital Region Planning Board will form a Selection Committee to conduct interviews and finalize the appointment.
- Only candidates who are shortlisted will be invited to attend the interview process.
- Candidates will have to produce original documents along with self-attested photocopies of educational qualifications, experience certificates, and identity proof at the time of the interview.
- The selection committee’s decision shall be considered final and not subject to appeal.
Job Responsibilities
The selected Young Professional (GIS) will be required to:
- Work on the Geo-Portal of the National Capital Region (NCR)
- Assist in GIS and spatial data analysis
- Support the delineation activities for the NCR region
- Contribute to the preparation of Regional Plan-2041
- Perform any additional duties as directed by the Director (A&F), Chief Regional Planner (CRP), or Member Secretary.
